@ChrisCurtisFan That's when Mary got shot on the last episode of season 2. The cliff hanger was Mary still in the hospital hooked up on life support. Though the writers seemed to want to forget all that in the next season! But some very powerful stuff, you should definitely find those episodes and watch. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@katcove i can't remember the episode off the top of my head but the ring is actually mary's (SPOILER ALERT). raf proposes to her and she tells marshall after he notices a faint tan line on her ring finger while they are at a diner. he is messing with it and gets it stuck on his finger. he finally gets it off at the end of the episode.
Mary and Fred have such great chemistry that shows with just a look at each other!! I love the expressions when they are looking at each other!! Great video!

I'm a little disappointed that after the way last season ended, that the writers aren't doing a little more with that storyline.Mary is a beautiful and strong woman, something to be admired.
