  • This is super useful. I've been trying to figure out how to do this in Logic for soo long. Thanks Siege!

  • shit if you do a search in logic for 'speed fades' nothing comes up- so your vid was really handy..

    big thanks from australia!

  • this helped ALOT THANK YOU!!

  • Good video man! I just got Logic Studio and it is a beast... Got the Axiom 25 working with it and just reading through the books and learning up on this Youtube. Thanks for posting amigo.

  • nice bro..

  • thanks, Seige... this was very helpful to this new Logic user.

  • if you can't do it on MIDI, then just record the MIDI and save it, then reopen it as an audio file.

  • You sound like Rakim homie....good tutorial PEace

  • what can this program do?> exactly?

  • that beat is hard!

  • Can you do this in MIDI or audio only?

  • Can you do this on a midi file? Or audio only?

  • thanks man great video, helped!

  • check my vid to see what I came up with

  • DUDE I didn't know this feature existed, now I'm gonna try it

  • you can simulate this effect on any logic version that has vocal transformer....automate the formant control on vocal transformer .....you will be amazed.

  • SWEET! Didn't know about this feature.

    Thanx

  • You...are...awesome. I just got Logic Pro 9 after using FL Studios for 9 years. Nice video!!

  • @DavidFrenchmusic cuz its a logic pro 9 feature... not in any other logics bro..

  • thanks for this one!!!! love this one

  • what's the hotkey for cutting the track at the playhead?

  • LOGIC PRO 9 is the best ever compared to other DAWs, but i wish they have that DJ mixing/remix capabilities like ABLETON LIVE 8 SUITE PRO that i also use a lot...^_^

(just a suggestion, in case APPLE is reading this)

    peace...

  • I can't wait to use this feature!

  • is this just with audio>>>>???

  • Wow, I can't believe I never knew this. This is so awesome. Thanks for the video!!

  • good stuff... appreciate that, i been too busy trying to figure out how to drop midi into this bad boy channel to track specifically...

    once again, good stuff

  • yeah, love that speed up/down thing.. thanks for the tip! fresh beat btw.

    D.

  • Thanks for this tip on the turntable effect. I'm so happy that I don't have to go to PT for the Vari-Fi plugin. Thanks, seige!

  • what it iz man just stumble up on ya man an me and mine yet not the best logic users we get that monsta sound you know big you jus got to get ur mix right homie if its thin its you but seige big up im wit ya now nig....peace all

  • appreciate big homie.. thx..

  • dope ...im glad they added that into the new logic....but ya know u can do the same on 8. All u have to do is automate the vocal transformer, just automate the formant knob.

  • what are you using to record this tutorial? (the video software)

  • great but logic sounds paper thin

  • naaah homie.. u jus dont kno what ur doin if ur mix is comin out paper thin... trust me.. i kno exactly what u mean..but i only had that problem when i first got logic..i didnt kno which plug ins to use.. trust me..i got a mpc 3000 sound comin out of my logic 9.. and yes it is possible.. trust me..i was hardware for years before i went software...

  • @seigemonstracity so what plug-ins you use then to get the mpc3000 sound out of Logic Pro 9? Great vid by the way!!!

  • @kokeklasick

lol, its your mixes which sound paper thin, not logic.

you can get a good sounding mix on pretty much any DAW if you have the knowledge

  • @chinmassager no ok then try importing a audio file in cubase 5 for example then the exact same in logic and if you cant here it i think your ears are paper thin

  • great vid. just what i was looking for. thank you!

  • hey i waz jst wonderin...can you have this program on windows man? and i apprisiate tours speciially the slow ones.. you do good job man!..

  • logic pro is only an apple app bro..sorry....

  • fuk!..iight than thankz anyways!..

  • haha..i kno ur pain man.. i felt the same way when my homie told me about logic.. i had to wait like 7 months before i got a mac..get a mac bro.. imac if u cant afford a mac pro tower..

  • lol...yeah like the economy is that good to just go and buy a apple!.. plus i don't like apple at all.. i acctually hate it.. but i have hurt that logic makes it worth!..haha im unempolyed right now but once i got a job.. imma have to save some cash to get one!..haha

  • i feel ya bro.. its definitely hard out here.. but they do have a way to turn ur pc nto a mac.. they call it hackintosh.. check into it.. maybe u can run logic on that...

  • hey, you could convert your MIDI tracks into Audio tracks, then your MIDI track sounds can have a speed fade on it.

  • yes! its called bounce in place... jus right click the midi file and youll see it..

  • Thanks man... Ben a logic user for many years, and this is a great addition!

  • Thanks mate. I missed this feature somehow until this vid.

  • try supatrigga. freeware. has a great "stop" feature.

  • Thanks for this tutorial !!cheers from Italy!

  • wow thanks for showing me this.once you showed me now i have discovered you can use the crossfade tool once you select speed up/speed down in the fade section and you can also use time markers behind the fade.logic 9 will be the best ever once they make audiounits support midiout.thank you very much for this

  • Dang Dude this is tight..... What else you got???????

  • I have now been blown away by 2 new features...

Looks like logic is really raising the bar again!

    .t

  • killer feature man, thx a lot

  • Logic 9 is awesome. Use it all the time.

  • Wow,this is pretty cool, gonna buy me a copy now...... thanx.....

  • Sick !! dud, i just orderd mines like 3 days ago, caint wait to try this, its so much stuff u can do in logic with a little creativity, but this 9 is finna b the Mona Lisa

  • Dude thank you so much i've been trying to figure out how to use this feature good looking out man

  • Too nice...just got logic 8 now it's time to upgrade. That sh! wz clean. Try screen flicks for better resolution on your YouTube vids. I use Screenuim and it sucks for YouTube. Dueces keep up the good work!

  • fasho.. thx man...imma try that..

  • pretty dope man, pretty damn dope!!!

you planning on droppN any other Logic Pro9 vids??

  • Yo thanks for this video ... brought an intro together on this song.... this gonna give alot of us logic producers a signature.... this shit is dope ... i gotta make a logic 9 video today!

  • thanks mate

  • Just ordered the upgrade. I have wanted to achieve this effect for ages. Can't wait to do some Mantronix/Chep Nunez edits!

Thank you for creating this video. Good man!

  • legend! i couldn't work this out. thanks!

  • Thank you for sharing this! Well done!

  • im thinking of getn pro tools 8 but if logic 9 does the job ill get it instead....

  • logic 9 really does the job. If you record and mix and do most stuff yourself, logic is way better than pro tools in my opinion. Just feels way more streamlined and made for musicians rather than engineers. And that's what they seem to aim for, so I guess they succeded.

  • What's the song are you using for the tutorial?

  • a beat i made!!

  • Nice,

I wouldn't mind hearing more of that HEAT!

  • my youtube page has alot of work of mines..check it out...

  • does it work with the midi notes also ??

  • 0:02

  • This is great. Can't wait now. Thanks for the teaser.Quality
