This is textbook heresy. This guy John Crowder in his "testimony" contrasts completely what he teaches. This is ridiculous false teachings and thousands are falling because of it. But, aside from criticizing this should be a wake up call to all believers in Yahweh in the true gospel that we all have a job to do and its time for us to move out of our comfortable churches and start going out and exposing the lies of the enemy & set the captives free
The Holy Spirit does many wonderful and miraculous things. Making a person feel elated to the point that they lose their inhibitions to act as a fool is not one of them.
@brad175 "Be not drunk WITH WINE" is the simple truth, which you have butchered to suite your own ends. "Be filled with the Holy Spirit" is not something you can quantify with YOUR conditions or YOUR idea of acting as a fool. What you can rightly assume is that the Holy Spirit will not lead someone into deeds of the flesh. That is ALL.
HE WHO EATS MY FLESH AND DRINKS MY BLOOD HAS ETERNAL LIFE - JESUS
Jesus had no problem using provokative metaphors to make a point, and He had NO FEAR of offending religious people. What is more offensive, a reference to cannibalism or a reference to marijuana? MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.
i love how religions that have carried out genocide after genocide are telling people that because theyre happy while preaching god theyre doing it wrong.
all things will be forgiven man but one, blasphemy of the Spirit of God will not. If oyu follow thins man in any way you will be lost for all eternity, read your Bible and you will know the truth...
What this video reflects are the most extreme examples, hand-picked for the purpose of demonization, which is what pharisees do best. The FACT is, the drug comparisons in this movement are for the most part no longer being used. The real question is, why do certain OFFENDED pharisees want to keep this alive? Why do these religious people have no ability to discern the intent of these comparisons? The people on video are sick of worthless religion, and their accusers reinforce their point.
Blasphemers who are lost and do not know the Lord. These people could be flipping the bird at some of you and calling it a blessing, the 'apostolic birdie', and you'd buy it. The blind leading the blind. You might as well have Satanists preaching in your pulpits.
The Holy Spirit brings joy, and though you may experience it in a certain way, you have to acknowledge that not everyone will experience God the same way you do- He's more creative than you are. I'm not going to say that I like the idea of relating scripture to cocaine, but the point is that it is BETTER than drugs, John Crowder's testimony is choosing the Lord over the world. Open your minds to the idea that God will do things that you can't explain- do you want to miss out on what He has?
It has been my experience in life that God will allow you to receive exactly what you want. Do you want a ‘burning in your bosom” from the angel Moroni that the Book of Mormon is correct? Want hypnotic regression to a past life? Want to see stupendous miracles as ‘proof’ of God? Seek and ye shall find, BUT never forget that in the end -> ye shall reap what you sow. THAT is the reason we must follow the Word of God and not our own imagination or desires.
@shuttleharvester We follow the Word, and we also follow the Holy Spirit IN US and the WORD written on our hearts. If you want to see righteousness, quit imputing, expecting, and looking for evil in your brothers and sisters. Yes, you will reap what you sow.
**************URGENT WARNING TO CHRISTIANS******************
2 Thess. 2:11 = Most Christians today are deceived and believe a false gospel
2 Tim 3,4 = they act like Christians but deny God's power, always learning but never understanding, lovers of pleasure, led by entertainer pastors/musicians.
2 Cor 13:5 = are you holy? are you seperate? Is your faith real?
John 15:5 = Jesus is the vine, abide in Him continually, not just on Sunday, Jesus is LORD of all your life, every part!
can you explain to me what temperance mean/ ? I mean you can't be happy , or super happy , to be joyfull is temperance. Anger and sinning is not temperance, get your dictionary out.
I love the new wine of the covenant. I have found that it IS very intoxicating!! Pure JOY!!!! It's funny how people try to cast demons out of people who are manifesting the Holy Spirit and are intoxicated with JOY. They get frustrated, cause you can't cast Jesus out! hahaha!!! I was drunk on joy at a dry church when God just hit me with it and all I could do was laugh. The pastor said I had a clown demon and 3 people tried casting demons out of me, and I only received more joy.
Not denying the serious necessity of repentance and the centrality of the cross and the power of the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth but just driving a point home. The gospel we preach MUST ressemble what Jesus preached and if we dare say we follow in Jesus' footprints then we have a responsibility to OBEY what He has called us to do the way HE also did it which was to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers. raise the dead and cast out devils amongst other wonderful things Jesus DID!
@nicknchrist He is God. We aren't. Whilst we often encounter the miraculous because God in His mercy works through us, Jesus told us primarily to "make disciples". That means people who follow Him not our concept of Him or His miracles. Jesus often had people follow Him for His miracles- that's nothing new. But we should be careful that we don't claim what we don't have in place of doing what we can do. If He sees fit to manifest in the miraculous He is sovereign. Otherwise make disciples.
@TheB1nary We must absolutely go and make disciples. WE must BE disciples of Christ Jesus and seek to imitate Him or rather let HIM minister through us to this lost and dying world. My emphasis was on how far we've strayed in this generation in that we have all these nice reformations to look back to and systematic theology that presents itself so "true" but yet the fruit of it doesn't seem to echo the way JESUS taught AND the things He DID.
@TheB1nary The result of Jesus' preaching was that people got saved, healed, delivered, made whole, the dead were raised to life again, the blind saw, people's lives were radically changed (not just because of the miracles) on the inside as well as on the outside.zDo we see that in today's systematic theology? God backs His Word with His Power. It's interesting in Acts when it mentions the fear of the Lord falling on all of them that miracles followed and that souls were multiplied.
@nicknchrist You seem to have issues with "systematic theology". By the way, ST isn't a person and is simply a way of framing doctrine. How can you "see" anything in the way of practical matters with it? On the other hand, when you theology converges with your life and results in faithful living and has an impact on what you believe...well... the Word of of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. But this Crowder stuff? Demonic.
@TheB1nary My issue is not with needed sound doctrine BUT the idolatry and worship of doctrine and head knowledge and endless debates and refutations that in no way ressembles how JESUS preached and taught and does not give the same results. That's what really bothers me is that the listener comes out of such a session just as dead as he was beforehand and is still not healed saved delivered. 2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
When I look at a teacher's life and teachings I always seek to see if it matches with what Jesus 1. taught and 2. did. Are these teachings and doctrines bringing the same results as the preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom of GOD did in Jesus and the disciples life? Are people getting healed , saved, delivered brought into a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? When Jesus preached lives were undeniably changed and the Kingdom of GOD manifested. God backs His Word with His Power.
@TheB1nary We are to walk in the Master's footsteps teaching what HE taught and like Paul also for example by REVELATION we are to teach and to continue to further the gospel.Jesus didn't just study a bunch of stuff and just give nice theology and offer nice debates. HE rather was led of the Spirit of GOD everywhere HE went doing NOTHING but that which His father did and driven by compassion HE healed, saved, delivered, made whole, (soteria, sozo, yeshua) as HE preached repentance and the Kingdom.
Psalm 16 written by a man who actually received visions and songs and experienced the reality of God and who actually communed with GOD not only through the amazing written word but in living REALITY. Psalm 16:11 Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore..
The Psalms according to the Pharisees. Pseudo Psalm 16: Thou wilt shew me only through the written word of GOD over 2000 years ago the path of life according to MY systematic theology: in thy presence (but never while on earth) is a little bit of sophisticated stiff upper lip doctrine of joy and at thy right hand there are non emotional conceptual theoreticaly sound pleasures. We rejoice in thy non communication cessationism and that you no longer pour out any gifts upon us. (Not) Amen.
i agree that "toking the ghost" is bit too far.. but this video was kind of condemning. It should be kindness that leads to repentance, not doom and gloom..
@Orangetyme Errrmmm. have you seen videos of this guy's "ministry"? He doesn't think he needs to repent- so kindness won't help. And it isn't "doom and gloom" to point out the demonic errors of this docctrine of demons. Of course people with itching ears and who chase the "miraculous" and the "emotion" and "feel good gospel" will condemn me for saying those things. God help us all!!
I don't condemn you at all. I know you have good intentions! I agree with you in some ways too.
Also I am not chasing the miraculous, the Miraculous chased me. God pursued my heart and formed me for His pleasure. Then he died for me, and then sent his very spirit to indwell me, and gave me power & authority to do the works that Jesus did and greater. I could not do anything, it's only because of what He has done. So yes, the gospel aka "good news" does feel good indeed! Blessings =]
@Orangetyme Hello friend. I think we would disagree in that miracles don't "chase" anyone. If miracles are to be seen they "accompany" or "follow" disciples (Mark 16). If by miracles you are talking about salvation then absolutely- we are indwelt by the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. The concept of performing "greater works than these" though surely means we will reach more of the world with the gospel and not the miraculous? Take care!
Sigh... you poor theists. Direct experience? How can we, lowly contingent beings, experience something as powerful as 'God?' God is supposed to be a Supreme Being. Why would he lower himself so we experience him? He wouldn't. Also if you abandon the idea of a supreme being then abandon God because a God like that isn't worth worshipping, not with natural disaster like the Japanese Tsunami killing thousands of innocent people. Silly preachers like John Crowder make me sick with their blind belief
@Maturius On one hand you say if God is supreme, he would be distant, and on the other hand you say if God is distant by allowing world disasters, he isnt supreme. God has not promised to sheild the world from that which it has brought on itself, but He has promised to save all who call on His name and to reveal Himself personally. CALL ON THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, AND HE WILL ANSWER. Belief is not blind. It is based on the true unveiling of who God is by the power of the Holy Spirit.
But he DID lower himself, that's why he came in the form of a man and lived a human life. He wants us to experience him, that's what He created us for- to love, enjoy, worship, and to be vessels of his glory! He sent His holy spirit to dwell in us, and now we have direct access to the Father via the Son. This is the mystery hidden for ages: the fullness of Christ IN us! He is in us and we are in him! That's what's so unbelievably awesome.
@Orangetyme Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait... Don't come back at me with that preachy stuff. I am atheist. I assume that Jesus didn't exist since there is no proof, so using Jesus as a proof is a fallacy. Trying to prove something without proof of the proof is a naturalistic fallacy. I live by a few rules, treat others as I would wish to be treated and before I make a decision try to make sure the consequences will not be harmful. Now I learnt that through my parents and education, not Christ
"I assume that Jesus didn't exist since there is no proof"
With this statement you reveal yourself as not merely an atheist, but someone who is happy to embrace the "Jesus never existed" fringe with a complete and utter disregard for the work of peer reviewed PhD historians.
And you expect people to believe you're educated while you bleat amateur hour fringe dwelling crackpot rubbish that has less going for it than the latest Nazi UFO story on the History Channel.
@Keruaran Okay, sorry I didn't mean Jesus didn't exist. I meant there is no proof that he is the son of God. As I said to argue that God exists because he came in the form of Jesus to Earth, is a fallacy because there is no proof that he was the son of God. There is only evidence that there was a man named Jesus who was a carpenter from Nazereth. But just because there was a man named Jesus around that time doesn't mean it is Jesus. Maybe he just convinced people he was the son of God.
@Keruaran *Faceplant.* Never mind. Look up the parable of the stranger. You might get a bit close to the infurity of how I feel. Good luck with your life!
LOL, not a surprising response... sorry for NOT being an evidentialist who believes (like William Lane Craig) that convincing people with arguments and evidence actually changes peoples minds. I'm not going to try and convince you that there are good historical arguments for the resurrection of Christ (even though there are). Your response is unsurprising coming from someone who started off saying Jesus didn't exist who then changed tack saying you didn't actually mean that.
@Keruaran You know what, I didn't change my mind. I did the logical thing and did some research. I went away and looked at the evidence. I found that although there was a carpenter named Jesus around that time, I don't think there is enough empirical evidence to believe he rose from the dead. I am sorry, the evidence is lacking. Btw, never said God didn't exist, just said that you can't prove God with proof of evidence. If I believed in God, I would believe in the God of ontological argument.
@Orangetyme I am thinking your definition of God is incorrect. You are probably thinking of the God that the bible depicted. Science and rational thought have already proved that God completely and entirely irrational. The God definition is now,' A being which is greater than non which can be conceived.' Makes sense, no? The only possible God is one which we will NEVER discover and will NEVER experience. A God like that could not lower himself as it is too great, or doesn't exist, bible is wrong
There is so much pureness in all the people highly offended by these actions. But the truth is we are all seeking something that feels good, that is the way God made us.... What we are finally realizing is that there is a fulness that sustains us.... NEW WINE :)
@Mbacorn38 God never promised that we would feel good, just peace and comfort to hold up through the worst of adversities. God warns of those who seek after pleasure in the last days. They no longer endure sound doctrine, but surround themselves with teachers who satisfy their itching ears.
@RansomBackus7 I am glad you've learned to hang in there with the rest of the world. Crowder isnt preaching pleasure for pleasure sake. He is preaching pleasure IN GOD. You can just as well tickle your ears with a bunch of deadbeats who glorify depression, suffering, false humility, and sorrow. Crowder is a man making a point, and making a point sometimes requires provocation and exaggeration. Watch and learn as GOD HIMSELF moves the goalposts.
@denoinwa I see no push for attaining bliss and pleasure in the Bible, Old OR New Covenant. Yes, a certain pleasure exists in resting in God's love, but it isn't talked up and practiced like this for hours on end. Instead, the Bible tells us to be sober and aware. I did some digging. A lot of this stuff you are witnessing is not of christian origin. Where does it stem back to? The gnostic, pagan mystery religions. I am thinking of the Greek God Bacchus. Do some research.
@RansomBackus7 I have done my research. I think you need a differenct lense. As I said, the push isnt for PLEAURE FOR PLEASURE SAKE. It is a direct result of mystical union, which is rooted SOLIDLY in Christian history and tradition. There is PLENTY of legitimate record for such a thing. Brother Lawrence and company did not originate with pagan "mystery" religions.
@denoinwa I have a mystical union with God, and never once have I acted like that or felt like that. Neither is it promised or assumed that I would. Christian History is FILLED with pagan influence, the Catholic and Greek Orthodox churches are rife with it, so that isn't a good defense either.
@RansomBackus7 Have you been caught up in the third heaven? Gee, if you havent Paul must not have done it. Have you been transported like Philip? That must not have happened either. You can look at the Bible as record of spontaneous Holy Spirit activity, or you can look at it as a prescriptive manual written for the purpose of writing off people with whom you are uncomfortable. To broad-brush the mystics of the past as "FILLED" with pagan influence is HARDLY doing your homework.
Wow! A message of fear, and attack. . . . like there are imperfections in the church! What?? When did this happen?? Judge not lest ye be judged, but execute mercy that ye may obtain mercy.
Hahahahahahahahahaha relax and let the spirit overtake you. You are trying to hard..the work is finished. Allow Jesus to guide you by his spirit living in you hahahahahah wioooooooooooooooooooooooooh
@briank06261973 You still havent addressed the central point. There is a BIG difference between saying that Jesus IS the Word incarnate and saying that "ALL of Jesus is in the Scripture." This statement cannot be supported, and it is idolatry to even suggest such a thing.
@denoinwa Now you are accusing me of being an idolator because I value the Word of God. Wow, that is a STRETCH AND A HALF. Ok, then with that kind of thinking, then perhaps King David was an idolator, because he loved God's Word. Read Psalm 119 if you don't believe me. I only see that you are trying to start an argument that I am not willing to accommodate you on. So long, Denoinwa.
@briank06261973 Please dont take yourself so seriously. My point wasnt as much about idolatry as it was about you never coming close to comprehending the central issue. I am very glad that you love and value the scriptures, and I believe you are sincerely seeking truth. I defend Crowder because he speaks to larger issues going on in the body. He is a puny man like both of us simply doing what he is called to do.
@denoinwa Your accusation of me being an idolator is akin to the pot calling the kettle black. I mean, the way you carry on about how great John Crowder is, you would think John Crowder was Jesus Christ or something. You reveal that you are a Crowderite through and through, you regard his books more than the Bible, it is plain to see.
It says in Proverbs not to answer a fool according to his folly; now I need to repent of that sin. Should have neve answered you in the first place. Good day.
I was reading somewhere during the tribulation they will administer communion host that is laced with some type of destructive hallucinogenic drug -- this is all being set up.
Crowder and his church are still encouraging people to drink of the Spirit, but they are not propagating drug analogies as they were for a time. It is a fair question as to why Crowder and Dunn found so much delight in provoking the religious. It was nothing but a parody of what God IS and WAS doing in the hearts of many. I am sure they thought about how some would use this to define their ministry, but these guys dont care much how they are viewed by the sanctimonious.
"Abstain from all appearance of evil" was not intended to serve the purposes of a religious, paranoid cynic. Obviously Jesus would not have healed on the sabbath or done anything to upset the pharasees. He gave them NO ATTENTION whatsoever. Ask a nonbeliever if "toking the ghost" looks evil when a so-called toker says Christ will replace their drug. They are not stupid. At any rate, as much as certain people would like to keep this going, this was a phase that is OVER.
I think it is wise to examine John Crowder's theology in light of Scripture. I Thessalonians 5:22 says, "Abstain from all appearance of evil." Now, as I watch the video, and I see that Crowder and his followers are simulating smoking dope and taking shots, and acting stoned and drunk, it is very clear to me that they are NOT abstaining from all appearance of evil.
stop God isnt behind it. use common sense would God associate himself with an evil practice like the process of snorting coke. no no no. this is demonic. satan can transform himself as angel of light. he also has ministers. ur decieved and find anywhere in bible people toked or snorted. u cant
Only the pharasaical do not recognize the pharasaical spirit behind MOST of Crowder's critics. Only a few have genuine disagreements. Many will claim the scriptural high road all day long, accuse others of "disdain" for the scriptures, etc. These people have NO SCRIPTURE to back up their claims of heresy and are too delusional to admit it. They are hypocrites of the worse kind.
I completly beleive that the as beleivers we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit and get to share in the awesome all fufilling joy of the presence of the Holy Spirit. This however this is not it! It's disgusting to relate to the presence of God to something you can "smoke' or just decide to be slain in. If you are going to be slain in the spirit that will be God's doing, Not something you work for. Seek god and worship God, then you will have the REAL PRESENCE OF GOD!
@CarrieAnneM86 It sounds like your disagreement is sincere. I dont agree. I know many of these people personally, and I know their fruit is good. I also know that the Holy Spirit is ALL OVER IT, and the "whack," as they call it, is definitely of God. It is something you have to see and experience for yourself, and those who TRY to discredit what God is doing using scripture inevitably make themselves look very foolish. This movement will only grow stronger because God is behind it.
Heretics in full motion. That's all this is. Being led by their nose by satan. Making a mockery of scripture and the God of this universe. There will be judgement and they'll receive their just punishment when He returns.
checkout my page for real christian talk podcast style. straight shooting about the truth. we want to destroy the hypocrisy, misunderstanding, self-righteous views. please help us. tryin to spark the youth and the Army of God that will rise up during these times. thanks guys peace and love!
i am a lutheran and half of my family is catholic. a while ago i came across preaching which led me too believe that the catholic and protestant churhces such as the lutheran, methodist, etc are the antichrist and are evil and wrong. for a while i believed this foolishness, but then i began to pray about it and the lord truly began to expose these teachers and all their crazy false prohet like ways. i ask that you pray to god about your situation(s) such as mine, he will give you the truth.
@MrAirJacobs There are true Christians in all denominations that God will "sift" out when He returns. God loves people but He hates systems. The Roman Catholic Church has many very pious people who love the Lord with all their heart mind and soul but, as foretold in Daniel and Revelation, the RCC IS "The Mother of Harlots, Woman who Rides the Beast, etc. and the pope IS the "Man of Sin." The pope DOES NOT have the authority of God and priests CAN NOT forgive sin! Blasphemy and Idolatry! SORRY!!!
@Siscast Not only do they lack discernment but any knowledge of the word of God. As I witness to Crowder's followers I'm finding not only an ignorance of the word but disdain for it. Crowder has brainwashed his followers into believing that those adhering to the scripture are religious and Pharisaical. They pick and choose scripture making a God to their liking. The spirit overtaking them is of the lawless one and it's evident in their fruit. This is a very deceptive move of the enemy. SAD!
@BillyJoe316 .....he is a servant of the enemy, and a perverter of all that is righteous, just as Paul said of Elymas the sorcerer, who opposed the truth and the way of righteousness.......Anyone who speaks against those such as John Crowder will find an enemy in denoinwa ( probably a Latin name meaning "den of demons").........He is relentless in defending those who take joy in making a mockery of our Lord, even so far as to say that WE are the ones who need deliverance......
@MarkGJudy1 If you were living in the time of Jesus, you would be calling John the Baptist demonized, you would be telling Jesus He has a demon, and you would be holding the coats for people who stoned Steven. You are a classic white-washed tomb. You think you love Jesus, but you are putrid lover of law and judgment and have absolutely no idea who Jesus is. You are an absolute fraud.
@denoinwa Actually, John the Baptist would have been addressing you with the Pharisees; why do you want to be baptised? Go and bring forth works that show repentance! You denounce those who rebuke John Crowder, a pervert who rolls around on graves to pick up the anointing of dead men....You have zero capacity to discern what is truly spiritual, and your words to me are the sound of a fly buzzing.........
@MarkGJudy1 No, I discerned who you are accurately and decisively from the get go, a blockhead and an infant who goes about accusing the brethren point by point of the very thing he is. What is really amazing is that God actually sees through the abominable, pharasaical pile of rot in you and sees something good. I certainly can praise God for that. If there is hope for you, there is hope for every pimp, whore, rebrobate and pervert.
@denoinwa You are such an adept twister of truth......but throwing around worn out phrases like "accuser of the brethren" as an attack on someone is SO LAME......you & your toking buddies are obviously exempt from being called out on passing off your demonic behavior......Next time you're huffing your Bible or enjoying manifesting your apostolic birdie, try to wrap your little mind around the eternal ramifications of mocking the Holy Spirit & spitting on the Cross of Jesus, demon pimp......
@MarkGJudy1 I have faith that you will see Christ at some point and be an influence for the endtimes church. Anyone as steeped in religion as you are, God will use it for the glory of His kingdom. You can continue with your beatdown efforts if you want, but they only bring you self destruction, which is not what God wants, or I. The deception of religion is that internal change comes through a beat down. I sincerely hope you get your deliverance. Be blessed.
denoinwa, you have the mind of antichrist; you will never, ever see the light of truth, because you love what is false........You have such a virulant hatred for the truth, more than I have ever seen in anyone in 30 years........you are LOST, because you CHOOSE to be.........
@denoinwa These are the kinds of people who brought about the FIRST flood......Amazing, God giving humanity a SECOND chance to fling dung in His face......Wow, denoinwa, you sure know how to pick your friends! Too bad you weren't around in the '60's, cause you and Charlie Manson would have been perfect together!
When I see these two women toking on the cross, I get sick to my stomach! This cross is the most precious thing ever given to mankind and to use it in such an abominable way hurts the Holy Spirit inside of me. If people only knew how much this grieves the Holy Spirit of God they would run from crowder and his teachings as fast as they could. What do people trying to kick drugs do when they see this? We are to flee from the things of the world not form a Gospel around them!
You wouldn't recognize Gospel if it were staring you in the face.......which, one day it WILL be, bringing you into account for having worked so vigorously to corrupt it.....
This video is offensive.PRECISELY why it is necessary! Thank you for posting it. Yes, God's people perish for lack of knowledge.People who have had serious drug addictions are being mocked. Jesus set them free, and CHRISTIANS are mocking their own? It's time WE WAKE UP CHURCH! Jesus is coming back for a Bride.Do we want Him to find us "wasted" by false doctrines???? I think not. And this is no judgement. It's a wake up call. A big one.
Getting filled with the Holy Spirirt actually makes you more aware and alert funny enough to God Jesus said to Peter who wanted to call down fire on a town who rejected the gospel....you are of another spirit!!!! warning for you!!!!.Get filled with the Holy Spirit and you will have joy temperance peace and all of Gods characteristics like never before
denoinwa defends this junk. and does not realize it is a sign of the times, the same warning of apostasy that Christ himself spoke of, instead of defending the LORD and the Gospel the choose to defend this trash from man.
Joy unspeakable:D I love when God shakes up the place....He throws all the best partays, ha! If it's His Glory I'm jumpin in. Shame to stay on the shore. You'll get:D
When I speak of Christ I get all giddy and excited worse then when I smoked pot so are you saying that by my speaking of Christ the Joy that wells up inside is a sin? It really its Gods glory bringing joy on these people. I love John because he is just a guy living in obedience in God and God is giving him a party in return.Christianity isn't suffering neither or being comfortable, it is living in Holiness where God has you some suffer others live as kings but all for Gods glory.
ha ha ha ha...HOW DARE YOU CHRISTIANS HAVE FUN! HOW DARE YE SHEEP BE MISLEAD INTO HAVING "A GOOD TIME WITH GOD"? your wickedness and foolish ways will be a path of some "relationship" when we all know that the true path to heaven is seriousness. For we know God never in his Word has never performed any miracles of wine, or compared His love to wine. HE HAS NEVER said that the JOY of the Lord is strength. "He that laugheth while meditating on the Lord shall be strucketh down" -Hezekiah 3:89
@Rawk4Life ummm....i would say that i am neither...i know john crowder is a bit radical and unusual, but really he's not leading anyone AWAY from God and he gives all the glory to the Father. Who are you to say that God's glory isnt a drunken feeling? You think the world has a leg up on God? and if you cant sense the sarcasm in the beginning then you might wanna study that form of communication. it'll help you get a lot more sayings and jokes people around you make
First of all, the Apostle Peter said in one of his epistles to be of a sober mind, meaning stable, calm, not intoxicated. Did Paul or Peter ever preach that God's glory was a drunken feeling? No, they did not. In fact, Paul even warned one of the churches he wrote to "Be not drunk with wine, but be filled with the Holy Spirit." That to me does not sound like "act like you're intoxicated when you're filled with the Holy Spirit."
@Rawk4Life remember when the day of pentecost came "They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit..." and then referring to the people "Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.” then peter explains everything...i doubt just speaking in another language would make people think you were drunk. it makes more sense that the men "filled with the spirit" seemed drunken.
There's your problem. You think just because the skeptics thought the people speaking in tongues "seemed" drunk, all of a sudden we should assume the phrase "Drunk in the Spirit?" If someone calls a band like Demon Hunter a bunch of Satanists because the singer does alot of growling, does that mean we should start calling the band "Satanic-sounding metal dudes?" Show some common sense.
@Rawk4Life thats weak. if the band sounded metal then you would say they were. if you believe all metal is satanic then of course you would say they were bad but if you looked into it you would say "they are a metal band, but they believe in Christ". same comparison, someone seems drunk then they probably are, looking into it though you would say "oh they arent really drunk, they're just in the spirit, and Gods amazing love and infectious joy can seem like drunkenness." poor analogy on your part
Actually, a church service that is in a state of disorder, whether it be due to the congregation or the speaker, is not Biblical. The Apostles never used funny terms like "tokin the Ghost," "smoking Jehovah-juana," or "drinking that Godka." We are not to conform to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
@Rawk4Life who said its completely out of order? i believe the Holy Spirit has control of any church service He's invited to. plus we arent conforming to the world just by using terms. is DH comforming to the world using metal? When you experience the Holy Spirit it is completely joyous. just because people connect with God and His presence is so overwhelming that its hard to contain yourself doesnt make things "unbiblical".
@Rawk4Life PLUS (cause there wasnt enough room) there was an apostle who used the "unknown god" of the greeks to share the gospel with a bunch of intellectuals. ls that wrong? because he used a "worldly" reference or item to help the people understand the message of Christ? no one is demanding you or anyone becomes like Jon Crowder. so i dont see the use for overbearing attacks on him.
Others "thought" they were drunk because they didn't understand what was going on. Again, I ask you what's the point in making up the term "drunk in the Spirit" which would clearly be going by what the world thinks of people that speak with other tongues? During the day of Penecost, the people that spoke in tongues were in a stable mindset, they were not falling down, laughing uncontrollably, or shaking violently.
@Rawk4Life if you look at most biblical references to God sending His spirit, and then someone either seeing it or experiencing it, they always fall and go out of control. i will say yes part of it is due to reverence but dont you think that the spirit of the almighty creator, moving through someone would cause an adverse affect. i wouldnt worship God if He didnt have that. if i could easily fit God n my 3-5 lb brain then i wouldnt worship Him at all.
Point out to me 1 Scripture that mentions someone falling and going out of control that was a believer in Christ. Mention someone other than Peter because the "in a trance" term does not mean he was flopping about everywhere and acting drunk.
@Rawk4Life when you see terms like "they seemed drunken", "in a trance" etc. and you say that you dont see it as proof or they were totally in control then it would make sense why you cant seem to find any biblical support for this. This is the plain and simple truth, if someone encounters God and feels like laughing, screaming, shaking or whatever, then it doesnt harm anything. If you call out to God, you will get God. if you dont believe it then fine...but why be so angry because someone does?
@Rawk4Life Show me ONE scripture that legislates the work of the Spirit. You cannot support, and neither do you follow, your own false premise. Look at what the scripture says about itself: All scripture is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. You yourself are expanding the role of scripture to support your bias. You are the one adding to scripture by placing a human standard which in no way reflects what God says about HIS OWN WORD.
@Rawk4Life This scripture applies to YOU. JOHN 5:39 "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me." Your fundamental view of the Bible as ALL TRUTH is HERESY. God's intent was not to REPLACE himself and relationship with himself with the Bible. JESUS IS TRUTH and HE IS THE WORD. ALL OF THE WORD IS IN HIM, BUT ALL OF HIM IS NOT IN THE WORD.
I don't think you're in any position to tell me what Scripture does or does not apply to me. There is a Scripture that says "If anyone preaches another Gospel other than what is being taught, let him be accursed." In other words, to preach a doctrine that cannot be back up with Scripture is a FALSE GOSPEL.
@Rawk4Life Why isn't he in a position to tell you what scripture does or does not apply to you?
You feel your in a position to come on the internet and assert who is and who isn't of God and come up with what you feel are applicable sciptures to back up your assertions.
What qualifies you and not him?
This as half the problem here, you enter these discussions already assuming you care more about being biblical than the whacky people you are opposing. I believe you assume wrongly.
@Rawk4Life The GOSPEL literally means "good news." It is the message of salvation. The word was never meant to encompass the whole of scriptural teaching. It would be a good step for you to distinguish between a point of disagreement and the gospel message. I know it provides you with an excuse to label people as "accursed" and an excuse to keep your ears firmly cemented, but AGAIN, you operate on a false premise.
Did you know that some "so called" preachers DISTORT the Good News all the time? They use the excuse "not everything you see up here on stage that I speak of HAS to be found in the Word of God." They use that scapegoat to mislead people into believing that Christians should listen to them even when they do not make quotes that are not supported by Scripture.
Look at what the scripture says about discernment and stop presuming that what is not stated in scripture is AGAINST scripture. That is ALL YOU, not God. There is a big difference between testifying of an experience that flatly contradicts scripture and an experience not found. What you are reflecting is pure cynicism and unbelief with nothing to support it, and DEFINITELY NO SCRIPTURE TO SUPPORT IT.
@Rawk4Life Honestly, it is laughable the position people like you find yourself. You really dont know much about church history do you? Every recorded revival in church history is accompanied by wonders, miracles, and phenomenon that is not expressly, specifically referenced on the pages of scripture. Any Christian with a functional knob can discern that the POWER and PRESENCE of the almighty brings about the unexpected and OFTEN the unreferenced.
@denoinwa I can understand the presence of God causing human flesh to act differently, but doing "lines" off of a Bible, and "smoking" the Cross? Do you seriously believe that Jesus, any of the Apostles or any disciple ever ran over the fields and deserts acting a'fool like this? I can just see it now, when Peter was preaching to the multitudes, he says, "Yeah, boyyyyyyyyyys. Get over here and smoke some Jesus-ajuana!"
@BillyJoe316 Listen, if all there was to Crowder were people goofing off talking about Jesus being a drug I would have some concern. But these select videos do not in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER capture the heart of Crowder's ministry. In fact, I am hearing that Crowder himself is not doing much of this at all any more. I believe he has moved on. This is much adoo about nothing from trigger-happy religionists.
@BillyJoe316 Thanks, Billy Joe, for being a voice of sanity & reason here on YT......but in all seriousness, please do not waste your replies on denoinwa, or whatever this apostate chooses to call himself.......he is a servant of the enemy, and a perverter of all that is righteous, just as Paul said of Elymas the sorcerer, who opposed the truth and the way of righteousness.......
@Rawk4Life I can appreciate someone who has a genuine heart for truth and purity, but I do not appreciate people whose penchant for doctrinal purity continually gravitates toward supernatural phenomenon that simply cannot be explained. This is NOTHING BUT the operation of UNBELIEF.
@denoinwa "Toking the Ghost" is blasphemy, and if you call THAT having fun, then you have never even MET the Lord, nor His Holy Spirit.......God gives His Holy Spirit "to them that obey Him".......You are a hardened, mind-darkened reprobate who has lost all ability to discern, much less appreciate, Truth in any form, and you only mock those who DO........
@MarkGJudy Is this all the vomitous, demonic slop you would like to spew for now? This is nothing but demonic, religious spirits having their way. I pray you get the deliverance you desperately need.
@denoinwa Once again, obfuscating the facts & real issues by making the issue a non-issue, then twisting it into something else......"penchant for doctrinal purity"????? As though doctrinal purity is NEGATIVE? "Supernatural phenomenon" is NOT 'toking the ghost', you word-twisting defender of blasphemy. You wear exactly the same scaly suit the original twister of Truth wore in the garden, and your tongue sounds just the same as his.....
@denoinwa Or do you simply only believe parts of the Bible that you feel comfortable with and reject other portions of it that don't suit your views. Let me tell you something, sir, the Bible is the INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD! So, go ahead and call me a heretic all you want, but the simple truth is you can't get to know God better if you don't read His Word.
@briank06261973@briank06261973 The view of infallibility does not address the statement, "All of the Word is in Christ, but ALL of Christ is NOT in the WORD." They are two different issues. All of Christ and WHO HE IS is NOT contained in the WORD. If you want to address the statement, please do. Jesus Christ did MANY MORE THINGS than were written long ago, and He continues to do MANY MORE THINGS (John 21:25)
@denoinwa John 1:14 says, "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." That verse is referring to Jesus. john here refers to Jesus as the Word. Jesus came down and lived a sinless life among sinful people, and ultimately died for our sins. So your assertion that all of the Word is in Christ, but not all of Christ is in the Word does not hold water in light of this Scripture.
@denoinwa The infallibility of the Word of God is based in I Timothy 3:16 where it says that ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God, not some, ALL OF IT. And we know that God is perfect and holy, so how can we dare say that his Word is not infallible? You are only comparing apples to oranges.

Drunkenness is a sin.
Drunkenness in any form is a sin.
God does not cause people to sin.
These are very simple truths.
The Holy Spirit does many wonderful and miraculous things. Making a person feel elated to the point that they lose their inhibitions to act as a fool is not one of them.
brad175 6 days ago
@brad175 "Be not drunk WITH WINE" is the simple truth, which you have butchered to suite your own ends. "Be filled with the Holy Spirit" is not something you can quantify with YOUR conditions or YOUR idea of acting as a fool. What you can rightly assume is that the Holy Spirit will not lead someone into deeds of the flesh. That is ALL.

I was drunk on joy at a dry church when God just hit me with it and all I could do was laugh. Not denying the serious necessity of repentance and the centrality of the cross and the power of the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth but just driving a point home. The gospel we preach MUST ressemble what Jesus preached and if we dare say we follow in Jesus' footprints then we have a responsibility to OBEY what He has called us to do the way HE also did it which was to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers. raise the dead and cast out devils amongst other wonderful things Jesus DID!
nicknchrist 3 months ago
@nicknchrist He is God. We aren't. Whilst we often encounter the miraculous because God in His mercy works through us, Jesus told us primarily to "make disciples". That means people who follow Him not our concept of Him or His miracles. Jesus often had people follow Him for His miracles- that's nothing new. But we should be careful that we don't claim what we don't have in place of doing what we can do. If He sees fit to manifest in the miraculous He is sovereign. Otherwise make disciples.
TheB1nary 3 months ago
@TheB1nary We must absolutely go and make disciples. WE must BE disciples of Christ Jesus and seek to imitate Him or rather let HIM minister through us to this lost and dying world. My emphasis was on how far we've strayed in this generation in that we have all these nice reformations to look back to and systematic theology that presents itself so "true" but yet the fruit of it doesn't seem to echo the way JESUS taught AND the things He DID.
nicknchrist 3 months ago
@TheB1nary The result of Jesus' preaching was that people got saved, healed, delivered, made whole, the dead were raised to life again, the blind saw, people's lives were radically changed (not just because of the miracles) on the inside as well as on the outside.zDo we see that in today's systematic theology? God backs His Word with His Power. It's interesting in Acts when it mentions the fear of the Lord falling on all of them that miracles followed and that souls were multiplied.
nicknchrist 3 months ago
@nicknchrist You seem to have issues with "systematic theology". By the way, ST isn't a person and is simply a way of framing doctrine. How can you "see" anything in the way of practical matters with it? On the other hand, when you theology converges with your life and results in faithful living and has an impact on what you believe...well... the Word of of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. But this Crowder stuff? Demonic.
TheB1nary 3 months ago
@TheB1nary My issue is not with needed sound doctrine BUT the idolatry and worship of doctrine and head knowledge and endless debates and refutations that in no way ressembles how JESUS preached and taught and does not give the same results. That's what really bothers me is that the listener comes out of such a session just as dead as he was beforehand and is still not healed saved delivered. 2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
nicknchrist 3 months ago
When I look at a teacher's life and teachings I always seek to see if it matches with what Jesus 1. taught and 2. did. Are these teachings and doctrines bringing the same results as the preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom of GOD did in Jesus and the disciples life? Are people getting healed , saved, delivered brought into a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? When Jesus preached lives were undeniably changed and the Kingdom of GOD manifested. God backs His Word with His Power.
nicknchrist 3 months ago
@TheB1nary We are to walk in the Master's footsteps teaching what HE taught and like Paul also for example by REVELATION we are to teach and to continue to further the gospel.Jesus didn't just study a bunch of stuff and just give nice theology and offer nice debates. HE rather was led of the Spirit of GOD everywhere HE went doing NOTHING but that which His father did and driven by compassion HE healed, saved, delivered, made whole, (soteria, sozo, yeshua) as HE preached repentance and the Kingdom.

TheB1nary 3 months ago
@TheB1nary
Orangetyme 3 months ago
@Orangetyme Hello friend. I think we would disagree in that miracles don't "chase" anyone. If miracles are to be seen they "accompany" or "follow" disciples (Mark 16). If by miracles you are talking about salvation then absolutely- we are indwelt by the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. The concept of performing "greater works than these" though surely means we will reach more of the world with the gospel and not the miraculous? Take care!
TheB1nary 3 months ago
Sigh... you poor theists.

It is based on the true unveiling of who God is by the power of the Holy Spirit.
denoinwa 4 months ago
@Maturius

Now I learnt that through my parents and education, not Christ

Keruaran 1 month ago
@Keruaran Okay, sorry I didn't mean Jesus didn't exist. I meant there is no proof that he is the son of God. As I said to argue that God exists because he came in the form of Jesus to Earth, is a fallacy because there is no proof that he was the son of God. There is only evidence that there was a man named Jesus who was a carpenter from Nazereth. But just because there was a man named Jesus around that time doesn't mean it is Jesus. Maybe he just convinced people he was the son of God.

Keruaran 1 month ago
@Keruaran You know what, I didn't change my mind. I did the logical thing and did some research. I went away and looked at the evidence. I found that although there was a carpenter named Jesus around that time, I don't think there is enough empirical evidence to believe he rose from the dead. I am sorry, the evidence is lacking. Btw, never said God didn't exist, just said that you can't prove God with proof of evidence. If I believed in God, I would believe in the God of ontological argument.
Maturius 1 month ago
@Orangetyme I am thinking your definition of God is incorrect. You are probably thinking of the God that the bible depicted. Science and rational thought have already proved that God completely and entirely irrational. The God definition is now,' A being which is greater than non which can be conceived.' Makes sense, no? The only possible God is one which we will NEVER discover and will NEVER experience. A God like that could not lower himself as it is too great, or doesn't exist, bible is wrong

RansomBackus7 2 weeks ago
@RansomBackus7 I have done my research. I think you need a differenct lense. As I said, the push isnt for PLEAURE FOR PLEASURE SAKE. It is a direct result of mystical union, which is rooted SOLIDLY in Christian history and tradition. There is PLENTY of legitimate record for such a thing. Brother Lawrence and company did not originate with pagan "mystery" religions.
denoinwa 2 weeks ago
@denoinwa I have a mystical union with God, and never once have I acted like that or felt like that. Neither is it promised or assumed that I would. Christian History is FILLED with pagan influence, the Catholic and Greek Orthodox churches are rife with it, so that isn't a good defense either.

It says in Proverbs not to answer a fool according to his folly; now I need to repent of that sin. Should have neve answered you in the first place. Good day.

TheAlan39 5 months ago
Crowder and his church are still encouraging people to drink of the Spirit, but they are not propagating drug analogies as they were for a time. It is a fair question as to why Crowder and Dunn found so much delight in provoking the religious. It was nothing but a parody of what God IS and WAS doing in the hearts of many. I am sure they thought about how some would use this to define their ministry, but these guys dont care much how they are viewed by the sanctimonious.
denoinwa 5 months ago

CarrieAnneM86 5 months ago
@CarrieAnneM86 It sounds like your disagreement is sincere. I dont agree. I know many of these people personally, and I know their fruit is good. I also know that the Holy Spirit is ALL OVER IT, and the "whack," as they call it, is definitely of God. It is something you have to see and experience for yourself, and those who TRY to discredit what God is doing using scripture inevitably make themselves look very foolish. This movement will only grow stronger because God is behind it.

SORRY!!!

Siscast 6 months ago
@Siscast Not only do they lack discernment but any knowledge of the word of God. As I witness to Crowder's followers I'm finding not only an ignorance of the word but disdain for it. Crowder has brainwashed his followers into believing that those adhering to the scripture are religious and Pharisaical. They pick and choose scripture making a God to their liking. The spirit overtaking them is of the lawless one and it's evident in their fruit. This is a very deceptive move of the enemy. SAD!

Are you stupid, or some heretic that likes making up Scripture references from a non existing Biblical book?
Rawk4Life 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life ummm....i would say that i am neither...i know john crowder is a bit radical and unusual, but really he's not leading anyone AWAY from God and he gives all the glory to the Father. Who are you to say that God's glory isnt a drunken feeling? You think the world has a leg up on God? and if you cant sense the sarcasm in the beginning then you might wanna study that form of communication. it'll help you get a lot more sayings and jokes people around you make
etherfreak 8 months ago
First of all, the Apostle Peter said in one of his epistles to be of a sober mind, meaning stable, calm, not intoxicated. Did Paul or Peter ever preach that God's glory was a drunken feeling? No, they did not. In fact, Paul even warned one of the churches he wrote to "Be not drunk with wine, but be filled with the Holy Spirit." That to me does not sound like "act like you're intoxicated when you're filled with the Holy Spirit."
Rawk4Life 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life remember when the day of pentecost came "They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit..." and then referring to the people "Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.” then peter explains everything...i doubt just speaking in another language would make people think you were drunk. it makes more sense that the men "filled with the spirit" seemed drunken.
etherfreak 8 months ago
There's your problem. You think just because the skeptics thought the people speaking in tongues "seemed" drunk, all of a sudden we should assume the phrase "Drunk in the Spirit?" If someone calls a band like Demon Hunter a bunch of Satanists because the singer does alot of growling, does that mean we should start calling the band "Satanic-sounding metal dudes?" Show some common sense.
Rawk4Life 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life thats weak. if the band sounded metal then you would say they were. if you believe all metal is satanic then of course you would say they were bad but if you looked into it you would say "they are a metal band, but they believe in Christ". same comparison, someone seems drunk then they probably are, looking into it though you would say "oh they arent really drunk, they're just in the spirit, and Gods amazing love and infectious joy can seem like drunkenness." poor analogy on your part
etherfreak 8 months ago
Actually, a church service that is in a state of disorder, whether it be due to the congregation or the speaker, is not Biblical. The Apostles never used funny terms like "tokin the Ghost," "smoking Jehovah-juana," or "drinking that Godka." We are not to conform to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
Rawk4Life 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life who said its completely out of order? i believe the Holy Spirit has control of any church service He's invited to. plus we arent conforming to the world just by using terms. is DH comforming to the world using metal? When you experience the Holy Spirit it is completely joyous. just because people connect with God and His presence is so overwhelming that its hard to contain yourself doesnt make things "unbiblical".
etherfreak 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life PLUS (cause there wasnt enough room) there was an apostle who used the "unknown god" of the greeks to share the gospel with a bunch of intellectuals. ls that wrong? because he used a "worldly" reference or item to help the people understand the message of Christ? no one is demanding you or anyone becomes like Jon Crowder. so i dont see the use for overbearing attacks on him.
etherfreak 8 months ago
Maybe the reason the account of the "apostle" who used the unknown greek god was left out because he didn't lead them to Christ by doing so.

Rawk4Life 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life if you look at most biblical references to God sending His spirit, and then someone either seeing it or experiencing it, they always fall and go out of control. i will say yes part of it is due to reverence but dont you think that the spirit of the almighty creator, moving through someone would cause an adverse affect. i wouldnt worship God if He didnt have that. if i could easily fit God n my 3-5 lb brain then i wouldnt worship Him at all.
etherfreak 8 months ago
Point out to me 1 Scripture that mentions someone falling and going out of control that was a believer in Christ. Mention someone other than Peter because the "in a trance" term does not mean he was flopping about everywhere and acting drunk.
Rawk4Life 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life when you see terms like "they seemed drunken", "in a trance" etc. and you say that you dont see it as proof or they were totally in control then it would make sense why you cant seem to find any biblical support for this. This is the plain and simple truth, if someone encounters God and feels like laughing, screaming, shaking or whatever, then it doesnt harm anything. If you call out to God, you will get God. if you dont believe it then fine...but why be so angry because someone does?
etherfreak 8 months ago

ALL OF THE WORD IS IN HIM, BUT ALL OF HIM IS NOT IN THE WORD.
denoinwa 8 months ago 2
I don't think you're in any position to tell me what Scripture does or does not apply to me. There is a Scripture that says "If anyone preaches another Gospel other than what is being taught, let him be accursed." In other words, to preach a doctrine that cannot be back up with Scripture is a FALSE GOSPEL.
Rawk4Life 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life Why isn't he in a position to tell you what scripture does or does not apply to you?
You feel your in a position to come on the internet and assert who is and who isn't of God and come up with what you feel are applicable sciptures to back up your assertions.
What qualifies you and not him?
This as half the problem here, you enter these discussions already assuming you care more about being biblical than the whacky people you are opposing. I believe you assume wrongly.
TheAlan39 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life The GOSPEL literally means "good news." It is the message of salvation. The word was never meant to encompass the whole of scriptural teaching. It would be a good step for you to distinguish between a point of disagreement and the gospel message. I know it provides you with an excuse to label people as "accursed" and an excuse to keep your ears firmly cemented, but AGAIN, you operate on a false premise.
denoinwa 8 months ago
Did you know that some "so called" preachers DISTORT the Good News all the time? They use the excuse "not everything you see up here on stage that I speak of HAS to be found in the Word of God." They use that scapegoat to mislead people into believing that Christians should listen to them even when they do not make quotes that are not supported by Scripture.
Rawk4Life 8 months ago
Look at what the scripture says about discernment and stop presuming that what is not stated in scripture is AGAINST scripture. That is ALL YOU, not God. There is a big difference between testifying of an experience that flatly contradicts scripture and an experience not found. What you are reflecting is pure cynicism and unbelief with nothing to support it, and DEFINITELY NO SCRIPTURE TO SUPPORT IT.
denoinwa 8 months ago
@Rawk4Life Honestly, it is laughable the position people like you find yourself. You really dont know much about church history do you? Every recorded revival in church history is accompanied by wonders, miracles, and phenomenon that is not expressly, specifically referenced on the pages of scripture. Any Christian with a functional knob can discern that the POWER and PRESENCE of the almighty brings about the unexpected and OFTEN the unreferenced.
denoinwa 8 months ago
@denoinwa I can understand the presence of God causing human flesh to act differently, but doing "lines" off of a Bible, and "smoking" the Cross? Do you seriously believe that Jesus, any of the Apostles or any disciple ever ran over the fields and deserts acting a'fool like this? I can just see it now, when Peter was preaching to the multitudes, he says, "Yeah, boyyyyyyyyyys. Get over here and smoke some Jesus-ajuana!"

So your assertion that all of the Word is in Christ, but not all of Christ is in the Word does not hold water in light of this Scripture.
briank06261973 4 months ago
@denoinwa The infallibility of the Word of God is based in I Timothy 3:16 where it says that ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God, not some, ALL OF IT. And we know that God is perfect and holy, so how can we dare say that his Word is not infallible? You are only comparing apples to oranges.
