  • What is the disposition of voices to this song ???

  • Divine. Miraculous.... Undescribable beauty. This adagio itself is sublime, and the choice of registers and tempo is just perfect. One cannot get closer to God...

  • this is my favourite, and this is by far the best performance i've heard on you tube. WELL DONE!!!!

  • beautiful, heavenly, pieceful place and music.. what an organ to play Bach on!

    Thank You for these moments.

  • I have to say, this is one of the best organs I've ever heard. I'd pay tons of money to get one like it if I had several hundred thousand dollars floating around and nobody in the world needed it.

  • That church is just breathtaking, so Baroque and Bach's music so divine - what a combination! Thank you.

  • The music is really heavenly, and the church is really nice.

Good idea to show the church to this piece of music. Thanks !

    Really good interpretation!

  • This adagio is pure heaven....

  • Sublime. Transcendental. Bravo!

  • che genio, parlava con dio bach

  • The only thing I'd do differently is that the Grave beginning at 3:11 would be played at full organ instead of the same registration of the main adagio. Otherwise flawless performance, and I agree that the Abbey and the organ are beautiful.

  • yea me too.

  • The Grave shall not hold us !

  • that is the passage with the tempo designation "Grave," prounounced in two syllables "GRAH-vay", not grave pronounced like shave.

The tempo designation Grave means to be played extremely slow, even slower than largo and much slower than adagio.

My comments likewise had nothing to do with death and dying, so I don't know what to make of your comment.

  • @melman74b thank you for the tempo and pronunciation information. I so enjoy listening to and watching this video.

  • This was either left by an idiot, or by someone rather witty.

  • Hi there Brideshead. I am witty snd, I guess, tired of idiots that I meet in life. But my comment was witty. The Grave in Franck´s Prelude, Fugue and Variation is played magnificently by a man called Guillot, I think that´s right, on Youtube. Are you going to re-visit Brideshead?

  • caro enrico sono il tuo allievo umberto, non ho parole, quando si dice un'Interprete!!!!!

  • ...and my, what an organ!!!

  • Magnifica chiesa e superba esecuzione nonché interpretazione di una sublime pagina di letteratura organista.

  • That church is just beautiful.
