Can somebody knock the door of our School Superintendent and tell him/her to visit my site and solve our elementary problem to why our schools are failing. Elementary is where it all started! If they start to log behind in elementary then it's a domino effect to middle and high school. Simple! Do you want to solve our problem?

I love the balloon method and can't wait to share with my 2nd grader! I think this will help her to understand carrying numbers and I won't use the term "carrying" anymore. I think the balloon and chin method are going to work for us!

@CWash1974 The word Carrying is one of the Math Words our teachers use to teach. Guess what? 50% of her class don't follow her. And she will eventually end up teaching the other 50% again and again! Thus, I have eliminated those confusing terminology that our Math Wiz / Scientist / Bearded Einstein had chose for our kids to follow. It just doesn't work! But don't forget. The moment they know how to solve. Tell them the word Carrying and what the word is meant for future school exams.

@CWash1974 Let me correct myself. It does work with the average students but it will take so much time to some kids. It is very frustrating and eventually they will lose interest in the lesson. Math terminology means 50% struggles to understand! Means more work for teachers.

Remember, we are worried about the Strugglers per class. It is compose of 20-60% per class who needs help in their basic math. And my videos are design for that! I have found some of the KEYS and I was able to unlock the mind of a struggler student. I have one student who is a boarder line mental status. Her teacher followed my method of teaching & after 3 months of intensive follow through. The student was able to solve regrouping subtraction. She was so happy about the outcome!

In teaching, free and open your mind! "I don't need this new method of teaching!" I've been teaching 16 plus years. Unfortunately, 20-50% of your class struggles to solve with their basic math! The same thing in teaching. Adopt to whatever style, shape or form. If you like the idea and it works! Then it is yours! I've been teaching kids for years now. The longer I've teach the more open I've become. More research and more ideas. If I like an idea then it is mine! Go out there and explore!

They say I look silly by touching my chin and using my fingers. That is exactly what I want! To look silly! What matters to me kids are getting it! If you are a teacher and don't allow your kids to use their fingers to learn. Be sure you are able to teach all your students. Otherwise, don't sacrifice your students because of your belief! A 15 year veteran teacher told me that she had learned a lot from me. Be open like this teacher! And you will be a well rounded teacher!

30%-60% of our kids per class struggles to learn regrouping addition and subtraction on grade level. To some students it's kind'na too late! They've lost so many opportunities and they began to fall farther behind. Sad but true! My method will guide YOU to teach effectively. And your students will even learn beyond their grade level. Thus; if you decide to teach the younger kids; you could! I've no problem teaching multiplication even as young as 5 and 6 years old!

I love this! I love the change in terminology that makes it accessible. Thinking of it with a balloon is perfect! I homeschool and we have a couple children in our co-op group who are really struggling with this. Once the manipulatives are left behind they are lost. This was a perfect way of showing them how the process works without all the intimidating terminology that we were relying on.
