i dont have a ramp and my basking area is flat...so i think i need to let the water level be the same as the height of the basking area..is that right? or should i let the turtles (terrapins actually) kinda jump and climb itself onto the basking area

Mine filter is aqueon filter 20 but it said 20-30 and we put correctly and it only lasted 3 days then we clean it. And I just cleaned my turtles fungus off their heads. What I do to improve my filter as sameone you have. Plus the pouch in the filter got green but we cleaned it off noes it stainless and water is clean but just tell me.

@MyRedEaredSliders it depends on how big the tank is, and how big the turtle is. the bigger the tank is the dirt from the turtle spreads out everywhere. If it is a big turtle it produces more waste and dirt because it has a bigger shell and its shell peels and so does its skin.

thinking of getting a turtle and put it in my 250-260 litre tank i have a fluval 206 filter and 2 air pumps and a backround that looks real, but i dont have so much gravel , i have 4 piranhas in it that are about 6-7 inches they eat goldfishes that are bigger then they are, do u think i can get a turtle in my tank? if so, can u tell me what type of turtle i can buy, how much it cost, how big they get,what they eat,and the requirements, and if i can order them at the closest pet store. plz reply.

AWESOME!!! Yah I was worried about my turtle climbing out as well so I got some plastic piece's around the edge of the tank were the basking area is so he cant get out and decorated it with some Exo-Terra plant's if you get a chance check it out...Glad the filter is working out for you and the turtle is well yah the higher you can get the water the better as you know turtles love swimming! Any more turtles you wanna get?

I saw the turtle topper at petco I was gonna get it but thought I would wait I have an ultra hypo res and a red cheeck mud turtle and they are still small...How is your filter working out for you? I bought 2 zoo med 501 canister filters work good I have a 30g long tank...any more vids of your turtle coming up?

@emostars71 The filter is great, I bought it because the turtle isn't able to climb up the filter and escape, which was a concern because the water level is higher. Its a great filter.
