I am really tempted to form a Free Regiment and lead them over to Denmanrk to fight for Sigmar!

That doesn't look half bad. If you'd exclude the silly acting and other larp-elements (not the costumes, they're cool) That'd be a magnificent sports event.

Though I kind of like the look of a group in maching tabards marching in good form.

@Tasselhoff88 do historical reenacting, there a lotsof groups dedicated to the pike and shot ra of the 15 -1600's though it is hellishly expensive to do properly i should warn.

@elgostine In fact I already take part in historical re-enactments. Mostly viking and early medieval era. And since I'm a blacksmith and can thus produce nearly all of the props myself, it's not even that expensive.

though hate to be pedantic, its actuall incorrect to have gothic knights alongside pike and shot troops, the gothic armour slowly faded away in favour of a different style around the turn of the 16th century.

That looks pretty awesome, damn shame there's no Warhammer Larp in Germany I know of...although friends are trying to get a 40k campaign together, already produced several servo-armors and a working Chimaera.

or maybe not, maybe all the puffed and slashed, pike and shot nerds joined the COUNTLESS live steel reenactment socioties commemorating the holy roman empire armies of the trenaisance.. which is the period the warhammer empire copies

@elgostine ~.~ Can't tell if insult or not. It's not really the same to be a Landsknecht in the Heiliges Romisches Reich Deutscher Nation as it is to be a Knight of the Black Sun fighting for Karl Franz and the Imperium.

@l0rf its not meant to be an INSIULT as such, if your a pikeman a zweihander wielder or halberdier.. theres not too much difference in your fighting style, or even your costume really. except in the reenactment groups theres no magic, no HP and alot more detail is taken to history]

but the fighting style will be qquite similar
