  • if that guy "wedged" pieces of cardboard or plastic in MY guitar, his teeth would look even worse than they do now! he obviously does not know how to work on instruments. a real guitar builder laughs at hacks like this

  • What we have here is failure to communicate, you doosh bag, thats a complete waste of time and makes NO improvement. Why bother, you need to get out more.

  • lol. pause right on 29..

  • Note: The following was comments posted from another clip of the same thing presented here. So I'm deleting that (too dark) clip and moving the posts here.

Why Gibson won't line their pickups with the strings is beyond me. I've been saying this for years. Carvin custom guitars will do it for you.

Another explanation=rigid vrs floating. I tilted the pups until they couldn't tilt more (semi rigid), then wedged in friction plates to remain stuck in place (rigid fit). With an off tilted HB, it seems the lower coil is too far away from strings thus sounds thin/weak. The closer to the bridge, the smaller the string vibration, smaller vibes=weaker signal. So I suggest esp. tilt bridge pup away from bridge for better sound. Also mount pups rigid. Hope this helps.
