  • the time is logical if one thinks about the situation and thanks to Ms Bartoli's pronunciation it works too, but if one think that this is xviii century and Mozart who always avoided excesses it becomes horribly wrong

  • honestly i dont think speed shoudl ever be taken. its a mark fo how great an artist she is that she makes it work but thsi speed is so wrong. elvira is in conflicting tempestuous emotions so i think a faster speed suits it far better.

  • i've heard a version of her singing it as fast as most people think it should be, and i thought it sounded much too rushed; so there is no time to understand what she means and appreciate how she feels.

this speed is a lot better as it reflects her emotions more suitably.

  • Is that the version on her Mozart Arias?

  • one of the most beautiful voices!

  • I suppose the speed depends on and is part of the interpretation, and in this context I think it works well.

  • wow je n'ai jamais entendu d'elvire chantée si lentement, et c'est magnifique!

  • i suppose you like it, but i don't really understand french... :)

  • incredible. she's absolutely my favorite dona elvira.

  • mine too :)

  • Too slow for my taste.

  • I love this!!!!! He takes the recitative very fast and then when the aria portion comes he actually slows it down tremedously~!! I could never sing it this slow! But anyways thanks for posting!

  • you're welcome :)
