  • Yes, as I wish the Christians would stop trying to involve all of us non-Christians in their lifestyles. The founding fathers were very clear on that in the first amendment. Your book of rules and legends shouldn't dictate how I, or any other non-christian person, should live our lives.

  • you glossed over my point. Being black and marrying outside your race was an abomination to the Christians. Even the Christian judge in the higher court ruling that was reversed by the Supreme Court in Loving vs Virginia said that God put the races on different continents so they wouldn't mingle. No one has asked you to promote the gay lifestyle no more than anyone has asked you to promote the Jewish or Muslim lifestyle. They exist and can do what they want with their lives.

  • @MidnightChimes but thats not in the bible are comes from gods word thats the word of man and their a differnce. The bible dose not promte hate, discrmination and etc Humans do that not GOD. Like i said if gays werent trying to adopt kids are use surrogates their would be a promblem... They can live their lives just stop involving others in your lifestyle

  • @MidnightChimes Not really.

  • hello we can refuse service to anyone, were not slaves we dont have to tend to your sick needs :) get a life

  • @kellyannabama your so right beacause it pisses me off when christian people our outside a gay event protesting against gays (were not your slaves so stop telling us your god hates us and were going to hell anything you guys dont understand you condemn but the funny thing is you should look at history why was jesus killed becasue instead of trying to understand him an listen to what he had to say they killed him... dont use the lords name in vein....

  • @menomz17 a few christains not all, It piss me off when someone tries to force me to except gay behavior and then using the black movement to move their pervsion. So i guess its a tie of who's forcing what down each other thorat.. so same back to you :)

  • they neglect to mention that the business was in her house.

  • If it were reversed, the gay owner would be sued for discrimination, and the comment on weather she checks if the straight couple are virgins, is a good point. I say that lets just stop straights from getting married and see how they like it.

  • not cool, guys.

  • This was the place of their business

  • Who organized this "protest"? An anti-gay group trying to make us fall for a trick? Whether real or fake activists, this sort of action is ill-advised and should not be repeated. As Dan Savage aptly put it, people should not be made to feel unsafe in their homes, regardless of the cause activists are championing.

  • Does the florist check marrying couples' virginity before she agrees to do their wedding?

  • @MidnightChimes LOL very funny, I'm a virgin so i'll explain this to you. I get offend when I see non-virgins wearing white dress because i feel like their lying to GOD. Anyway being a non virgin is a sin its not an ABOMINATION and before you use the selfish argument, us christains arent under dieatry law so you might want to use that with the JEWS..

  • @kellyannabama

yes but will you be a virgin when you get married for the 2nd and 3rd time?

  • @MidnightChimes i only going to get married once, when you get to know someone emontinal and mental first and are friends for long period of time then commiment and make vows you take that to the heart. I understand a lot of people dont get the meaning of marriage these days because they dont understand it..

  • @kellyannabama

I've been married to the same person for 17 years. I'm not a Christian. Won't ever be one. There was marriage before Christianity and there will be marriage long after it.

  • @MidnightChimes your right but we shouldnt try to normalize behaviors that dont make sense and offend so many...

  • @kellyannabama

that's what they said about interracial marriage in the 60's. It was against the law in most states. The Christians argued against it because it wasn't 'normal' and that it was 'against God's will'. Why don't you guys just let people be and, if there is a God, let him sort it out with them later. I guess you guys can't help yourselves. It's really too bad.

  • @MidnightChimes its not a sin to be black... Being black is not an abomination... I dont care what gays do i just care about them messing with children and spreading lies. No one in america is stoping people from being gay were just not promting the lifestyle..

  • @MidnightChimes to me slavery can be justified as a job we all wrok and are force to pay taxes to uncle sam.. The bible tells those to be kind to slaves not hang and beat them. Like i said its how you interput the bible and lets not take someones words and say thats something the bible says because thats not true the bible dose not condem black folks..

  • Laying flowers down at someone's business/home is intimidating? Pretty weak NOM.

  • Yup. What the florist did is illegal Canada. We have this thing up here where your in fact not allowed to discriminate against someone just becuase you (insert region of choice) says so. Your right to swing your fist ends at someone else's nose.

I would hardly call this protest intimidating but I still don't agree with it becuase I don't think it does anything to further marriage equality or any LGBT issue. A protest at the florists house is polarizing and counter productive.

  • All these people did is what the Christians are always saying we should do when we see something wrong in the world., They said a prayer and prayed. I mean I hear it all the time that more of us need to pray. So how could a Christian be upset with people outside their home just simply praying?

  • There is a huge difference between going to a home and laying some flowers and saying a prayer. If that is all the abortion protesters did then there would be no issue with them. But they don't they threaten , Intimidate , harass , beat on neighbors doors and tell them they live next door to a baby killer , in some cases they condone the taking of a abortion providers life,,,,,,,,there is no comparison here between the 2 sides.

  • I don't see how this is an "intimidating protest". It's just a bunch of Canadians standing in the street with flowers.

  • Imagine what would happen if a group of Christians protested outside the home ofa militant homosexual. The gay rights groups would be demanding hate crime charges.

  • yet I bet you have no problems with abortion providers being harassed at their homes....

  • Screw these people who say let them have a place to hide. Drag these bigots out into the light every chance you get. Expose them for what they are in their own neighborhoods. Who knows maybe one of the neighbors learned something new about this person today. But the oh well we are better than that mentality used to be okay. But these people have turned this into a war and all is fair in love and war.

  • Comment removed

  • And, christians, I know that placing flowers on the ground is such a horrible act of violence. (sarcasm)

  • NO. Protest her business, protest on the news, on blogs, but stay the hell away from people's private homes. They need somewhere to hide.

Yes, I know that christian activists also have protested outside of the personal residences of people; they go into churches to shoot doctors; they barge into places uninvited with bagpipes, hold up nooses and preach Leviticus death threats, but come on, gay folks -- we are better than that!

Do not stoop to the level of the christo-freaks, please.

  • @southernred8

The business is run out of her home!

  • @SHISADB aaaaaah, OK, didn't know that .... well, I hope you caught the sarcastic tone of my post, to point out to the christians that they do far, far, FAR WORSE to other people.

  • @SHISADB If it's true that the business is conducted out of the lady's home, then I wouldn't have any objections to a protest like this - as long as it's quiet and peaceful, respecting the neighborhood. Normally I very much dislike protesting a person's private residence, regardless of the issue. I'm still very uncomfortable with doing so in this case because I believe everyone deserves their privacy, but there really isn't any other venue for them to protest from what you are saying.

  • @southernred8 Liberal freaks kill soldiers and vandalize businesses. Then they play the victim card.

  • @StoogeWatcher You're completely delusional.

  • Oh NOM, grow up.

Let's see what happening in front of abortion clinics, pardon the broken glass.

  • Get over it NOM. The First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE PEACEABLY TO ASSEMBLE, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

  • We need much more of this...Confront the EVIL BIGOT christoNAZIS everywhere and every place..

  • @Elk999us You liberals are the bigots and Nazis. You are anti-Christian.

  • @StoogeWatcher I repeat: You're completely delusional.

  • Intimidating protests by homosexual activists? You mean putting flowers in front of somebody's lawn? Oh NOM, you are so funny.

  • WOW - What a scary bunch of intolerant homosexuals.
