i just got a pair of these wit a mts ported box and jackhammer 600 watt amp for $450 and they make my pioneer champion series pro sub with pioneers 1200watt mono amp seem like a shitsplode with a pyramid amp. i love my new subs, except they made my cracks in my windshield fill the whole thing up. great subs when combined with the jackhammer amp series :)

yah those are overrated and underrated at the same time, my neighbor has a 01 chevy silverado and he took the back seats out and put 4 12" inch jackhammers and to jackhammer amps to push it he hit 141 decibals at a usac comp but when they come out of the factory they are under rated wattage wise, they ar erated 500 max but are higher but the amps are beast

Yeah, I stopped liking most versions of MTX since they sold out to Japan, but they do have some good models, same goes with JBL. JBL has a 400 wRMS sub with 12mm XMAX and a sensitivity of 97 dBs, that shit is crazy LOL.

And if your talking about a 15, then it must be an entry level 15. 12mm for a 15 is pretty bad. Generally the bigger the woofer, the longer the Xmax since they usually fit bigger motors on them but some companies dont bother with a bigger coil (although most do).
