  • um sorry Can you also put close captioning on the videos sometimes you go pretty fast and I would be esier to cc. for exampleto do a row of 3, need to place hook throu here, do it so and so... will help those with hearing impairement

  • my yarn won't pick up the yarn on the hook like yours does when you are doing the rib stitch is there something i am doing wrong?

  • @ducttapelover4998 My suggestion would be to crochet looser. Without seeing how you are working the stitch, it is difficult for me to know what you would be doing.

  • Is this anything like or similar to camel crochet that I've been reading about?

  • @bjcw54 They are the same. Someone is just marketing a book and decided to use an unusual word with "camel". I have always called the stitch the rib stitch. When you see them worked, they are the same.

  • @tjw1963 I am a crocheter who can't stand knitters. Boy am I glad you don't knit! I just don't know what it is about knitters that make me hate them so much... Also I know someone who knits and she said you can do a lot more things with knitting than crochet. I am not an expert, so would you possibly tell me if this is true or not???

  • @SuperBunnyTime I think you can do about the same from the research I had done. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. I know I tried knitting a few different times over the years and found that crochet was faster and I liked it much better. With knitting, it has a different finish and is not as thick as crochet. There are a lot of different crochet stitches. People make up new combination's of stitches all the time.

  • ive seen this pattern on beret hats and they look more flexible. can you make a beret hat with this pattern?

  • ooops sorry i didnt realize that i made 2 comments lol

  • you make things so easy to learn new things.thank you for the experience of learning new things please keep up the good work.

  • your are an awesome instructor. u make it very easy to learn new things . please keep up the good work.

  • "Prime Rib / Brioche Stitch Demonstration" - Can you show this" Prim Rib" I saw it in other video, but the demostration didn't explain how they are doing it.

  • @SuperBingo21 I'm sorry but I do not knit.

  • thank you i am making a bow to go on my beret that you showed me to make

  • Hi! Do you have a video tutorial to make a sweater or vest? thanks.

  • i love your channel. I really wish for your next instructional video you would do tapestry crochet. I just recently figured out how to do it and I am currently doing an apple but it was very hard to find out how to do it online. I know it will be a huge help to others! ( =

  • I do have two tutorials that I consider tapestry. It is not where you carry the yarn but you do change color and follow a chart. If that is something you are interested in I will send you the links.

  • you are a godsend!!! I have to search your patterns...I am sure you have a hat wth rib stitching righ???

  • I have a wide headband with the ribbing stitch but not a hat yet.

  • So, what i am getting basically is, that blo will give you a rib stitch also. But if you work the single crochet in between, then it will even out the end of your work??

  • Some people do work in the BLO-Back Loop Only which is one option. This is working the loop below the stitch. When the work is facing you, the loop is lower than the two loops at the top of the stitch.

  • I find it hard when I want to change yarn colors or when I want to connect a new yarn. :(

  • I have a tutorial that I will send to you separately.

  • I always seem to have a hard time sc across the top of the ribbing. Im never sure where I ought to put the hook. I'm trying to make some mittens for my daughter and I am having the hardest time!

  • You just find a place that the hook will go through. It will be awkward since it is on the edge. I like to try to go through at least two strands which reduce the potential for holes. You can also work over the post of the stitch if you find that easier. Both ways will be secure.

  • Woot Thanks!

  • It looks like the front loop is being used to make the stitch, is that correct. If not that step needs to be made clearer.

  • There is a loop on what becomes the frontside of the stitch as you are working down the row. It is not either loop at the top of the stitch. Time code 2:35 tells and shows where to put the hook. It is a loop in front of the front loop or back loop.

  • Great video! I wanted to do this same sticth in say like a tam (i guess that would be done in a round) but not sure how to do it. Do u think if you have time u could show me?

  • I can put it on my "to do" list. Before I do that, which round direction were you looking for, vertical or horizontal?

  • horizontal spiral would be good.

  • Thank you. Just what I wanted to learn.

  • You are welcome.

  • Oh my God! Thanks for uploading this almost forgotten art!

  • You are welcome. :)
