Don't agree. The girl does well, but is a bit of a belter for the roll. The tenor is very good... especially for a high school kid, and his voice is certainly not "too operatic"; he just has control.
I also think hope's voice sounded a little too mature for a high school production.... I definitely just sat through call backs for this and heard the other four girls sing and not one of them was even close to sounding THAT mature.... I can't really count myself... all i know is i got the part.... :)
