You need a solid connection to the carb intake first of all. Then a tank with more compression, and finally a regulator to control your gas flow rate. Hydrogen is to unstable to run for fuel. Stick with propane. Nice experiment though.

I didnt see him put a load on it. It was just sitting there. Also most mowers like this one has a specific way the the top fly wheel mounts on its shaft. Since this is the stator for the spark as well , the timing can not be adjusted on most mowers.

Great video. Leaves little question about what is happening. What was funny was when the mower backfired and you got all serious looking. Don't worry about timing issues with an old lawnmower. All internal combustion engines the world over will do this at least once in there life. It is very common with old carburetor engines like in old cars or trucks to do it running on gas. Work on the flash arrest or and get back to me what you find. Don't worry about the backfire.

@eman20083421 without timing corrected when you put a load on the engine, you will get serious preignition and it will almost always result in backfire from intake. This is because the burn time from ignition to combustion is much faster than gasoline so the spark plug must fire a little later to prevent preignition.

Cool. Meyer's research lead him to (K.I.S.S. After he learned the secrets of HHO) the 'water splitter plug.' If the 'water splitter' cracked just 0.5cc of H2O inside a cylinder compressed with ambient moist air, the heat of the cracking would probably crack and then burn all the water vapor near the initially cracked H2O. So why does everybody focus on his electrolysis process?

@1232sean improper ignition timing. timing should be rearded slightly so plug fires later. it causes preignition, which sets off a chain reaction and it will start burning before it enters the engine. that is why backflash arrestors are very important

If I collected farts in a container, couldn't I run a lawnmower? Or how about a compost pile, doesn't that produce ignitable gas. Must be a cheaper way since hydrogen is expensive. What the world needs is for most people to collect their fart gas. Think of all the gaseous fuel produced daily worldwide and not even burned...

first thing is you need to separate the oxygen from the hydrogen, if you fill the balloon and run like that your using both oxygen and hydrogen toghther h20 = 2 parts hydrgen 1 part oxygen

yes in this video. i cannot produce it fast enough to run this engine, and the timing has to be changed otherwise when you go to pick up a load it will preignite several times and backfire through thev intake.

how many liters per minute does your generator make? Is that mower 4 stroke, and how many horses?

hi kwacz! Hey man great work and great vid, thats encouraging to see what a small balloon's worth of Hydrogen can do. Nice demonstration of controlling back-fire, I heard a PCV valve is good to put in the feed line so the gas won't backup.

they say it runs better with a bit of hydrogen is because the hydrogen burns 8 or 9 times faster than gas so the hydrogen burns then the gas burns. If you ran it just on hydrogen and felt the exaust you could feel some moister or water vapor because it rebinds with oxygen making water

it must be compressed and condensed into a liquid. this technology is not advanced enough to run a mower to cut the grass. it would use far less energy to just buy an electric mower and mount a car battery to it with an inverter. also this method could be recharged with solar power.

The balloon is clever for an experiment but what are your long term plans. Your hydrogen plant seems to large to mount to your lawn mower so seems you might want to put the hydrogen in a tank but how is that done? How does a person take the bubbling hydrogen & get it into a pressurized tank?

i did that in the next video i will be posting, but my whole pressure tank blew. it blew the bubbler and went to the tank, i will now be making a flashback arrester and doing many tests before hooking up to cell again. it appears that bubblers are only good for very low flow and higher flow rates are not good.

Just put it straight to air intake / carburator. If you have bubbler bubler will blow up but you cell will not blow up so just try it out. But you need to make Flash Back Arrestor, just search here in YouTube on that and you will find 2 good videos about how to make one. By the way, I have never saw lawnmower which have electrical start :)
