i did this with one of mine yesterday just to try. but i took the magnet out of the pickup and reversed it. i dont have my soldering gun right now. it has burstbuckers 1 and 3 , but when i do the peter green(middle Position) it sounds very thin. what do i do
Turn your tone knobs all the way to ZERO and see if that helps. It does sound thin, that's why I didn't leave it, I had to put it back to normal because it was annoying.
You can get a similar tone by just placing a crybaby wah about halfway back and leaving it there. And you donj't have to screw around with your pickups :-D
does it sound any different when its just on the rhythm? if not, I never use middle, so i was thinking if i set the magnets up the green method i might have a more versatile tone.
It was on the middle, with the tone pots turned to zero. If I turned up the tone pots, it sounded nice, but it was lacking that punchy midrange that I like, so I put it back like it was. I'd like to have a second Les Paul, I'd keep it wired up like that.

or push pull volume and tone to switch polarity or coil when an humbucker can split to a single coil...
its the way to the ultimate lespaul that can do everything.
