  • well today it's practically the same im glad i don't pay money to see these losers the only time i would see a leaf game live it's if they have a hold of a playoff spot, other than that im not leaf fans are idiots the ones that see them lose personally that's what i think they should do. for as long as the rink sells out it dont matter what the product looks like year in year out we are never gonna see the maple leafs win the cup so leaf stop going to the games.

  • Everybody forgets that Lanny McDonald was only 36 when he retired.

  • Dat stache!

  • wow!

  • A great gentleman.

  • What a legend. So much class, so much heart. All the respect in the world for Lanny.

  • Lanny had the best 'stache in the NHL

  • He scored hi 500th goal and 1000th piont on wrap-arounds. Talk about signature. He should have had the game winner for the cup, but Claude Lemieux kicked Vernon's feeet out and (of course) McCreary missed the call.

  • Toronto could have been a good team we have people that don't take pride in the game even today same bull shit Burke we need a decent manager not this clown.

  • Fascinating to learn how much Montréal has been some sort of a wrap-up in Lanny McDonald's carrer. Nice to see he has good memories from our city.

  • thanks for posting! He's my all time fave player in 30 years of watching the greatest game on the planet

  • Ballard was a jackass. His impatience costed Toronto a Stanley cup run

  • @ranchai100 Both his impatience and unwillingness to build a Stanley Cup contender on the ice because his Maple Leaf Gardens was already sold out night after night.

  • There's hardly been a happier final scene to a hockey player's career.
