  • Epic video!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • brings back memories !!!

  • UP THE IRONS FROM THE NETHERLANDS!

  • Muito bom mesmo!

  • There is no other option than love the guitar solos of this particular song... Those almost lightning fast solos are really something =D. And still those solos are always filled with melodies. Absolute greatness. It's a shame that they haven't played the song for over 20 years now, but that can always be explained by the almost unlimited amount of superb songs in Maiden's category. There is always plenty of options to choose from when they are planning there setlists =D.

  • you gotta love jannick @2:30 :D

  • This is a "gruesome" video. =p

  • I think no prayer for the dying is actually one of the best albums.

  • this song can easily touch my soul! I cannot believe it!

  • record dave solos, keep on dave while jannick do his solo, "oh its jannick soloing right now" go on janick "janick solo is over" go back to dave ... -_- anyway that was great, UP THE IRON

  • piece of art, absolutely..

  • this song have the best performance by bruce dickinson ever!

  • I hate how albums like No Prayer For The Dying, X Factor and Somewhere In Time are sometimes completely banned from the setlists! i love them all!

    UP THE IRONS!

  • @Airakobra Agree. Somewhere in Time is for me their best album along with Number of the Beast, Seventh Son of a... and Powerslave. No Prayer is a very good record and The X Factor one of their best. The Sign of the Cross should be played in more concerts.

  • wtf is janick doing? xD

  • 0 dislikes, hell yeah!!! LIKE

  • haha bruce dickinson wit long hair... sweet :P

  • There is no such thing as a bad Iron Maiden song. All of them are beautiful in their own way, some more than others of course. But I know for a fact that with every new Maiden song I hear, I just love music and heavy metal and Iron Maiden even more.

  • You have this video 19 years somewhere? Respect man.

  • thumbs up for who recognized the beginning of Hooks in You at the end of the Video :D

  • Why is this so underrated ? It's got a really good solo in it too and great riff....whats going on??!!!

  • DAVE MURRAY IS AMAZING...

the best guitar player of metal...

  • @AFABIANO1 The best guitar player of the universe

    UP THE IRONS!!!

    UP DAVE MURRAY!!

  • @AFABIANO1 what bout: Zakk Wylde, dave mustaine, dimebag derrall, tony (iomie?)

  • Just sick solos in this Maiden tune JUST LOVE IT .......;)

  • God, I love this song.

  • idk why people dislike this album.. this is one of my favorite Maiden songs of all time. I get chills down my spine every time I listen to this song!

  • 1.IRON MAIDEN 2.- 3.- 4- 5- 6- 7- 8- 9- 10-
  • its true maidens hayday was the 80's but no prayer for the dying, brave new world, dance of death and the x factor are outstanding records

  • francondor - you're absolutely right. And shame on every one who says otherwise ... walking a long road, never reaching the end .....brilliant.

  • JEEEEEEEJJJEEEEJEJEJEJEJEJEJEJEJ, HAY SEÑORES, LOS QUE HABLAN MAL DE JANICK, COMO SI A EL LE IMPORTARA, EL YA ES UNA ESTRELLA DEL ROCK PARA LA ETERNIDAD, SOMOS MUCHISIMOS MAS LOS QUE LO QUEREMOS Y BENERAMOS.

  • @duchristhh Janick is a excellent and very tallented guitarplayer... sometimes he sounds dirty but in another times we can listen solos with a lot of melody and fine technics

  • this song is livinf proof that....THERE IS NO PRAYER ON THE ROAD!!!

  • In this video bruce got the bset leather jacket ever :P

  • Why doesn't everyone just post one maiden video a day or something on their facebook! cuz EVERYONE has friends that aren't into metal like we all are! facebook HAS to be good for something right? lets use it to get to those ppl and those peoples people(friends) INTO IRON FUCKING MAIDEN! and other metal obviously it doesn't have to be just Maiden! UP THE FUCKING IRONS BROTHERS!

  • @mattitis77 i post at least ten metal videos a day,and at least one is iron maiden.

  • what a voice!!!

  • I love this album. Even though Adrian wasn't on it. But hey, Janick turned things around when everybody thought this band was no more when Adrian left. Janick kicks ass. Even though its my least favorite album with Bruce, I still love it. To me, every song is great. Mother Russia is favorite on that album along with the self titled song. Bruce's vocals are awesome. Dave's lead and solos are incredible. So are Janicks.

  • Ајро Мејде секта \m/

  • I just bought a still-sealed vinyl copy of the No Prayer for the Dying album on eBay for $119.99. I can't wait to listen to it! It's such an underrated album.

  • how come they never gave this song love?....i rather they put this than holy smoke on the upcoming compilation

  • first time i heard it and its awesome song

  • This song is an overlooked gem.

  • No Prayer is an excelent record!!!!! I can't understand why jurnalist and some fans always say that the golen yeas of Maiden ended up on 7th Son. This album is GREAT! And also Fear o the Dark. X Factor wasn't as amazing as the other records, it was kind of dark. But people also says that Virtual XI es an other awful record, and it has songs as The Clansman, Futurereal, Como Estais Amigos, etc. IRON MAIDEN is GREAT from the Sound House Tapes til today! UP THE IRONS

  • @francondor Yeah,The 2 albums with Blaze was too "dark"...Blaze wasn't the right one for maiden but when bruce sing his songs like sign of the cross, the clansman, futureal and lord of the flies it sounds 10 times better

  • @francondor I own all the Maiden records and I don't find them that bad, but compared to the other classic Maiden albums they were disapointments to me as well. But sure they all got some great tunes :)

  • @francondor

I agree that "No Prayer" has great and beautiful songs like this one. This one makes me cry, seriously...

Maybe it's also partially a nostalgic thing, but I didn't listen to this for a long time and forgot how good it was.

I also think "Fear" is overrated, the album but also the track, I'm sorry guys...

And also 'Virtual XI' is a great record, especially compared to 'The X Factor', which should have lost some tracks.

Still, I think "BNW" is a class far above the 4 albums before.

  • @DamageIncM BNW and the last few albums are definitely amazing, and when you read the book the album is inspired on it's even more incredible. I was the only one to read that book out of my class lol, no one really listens to Maiden where I live =( it's just shitty pop music these days

  • @guitarcenter999

    Yeah, I have the same.

Except, I thought "BNW" is amazing, "DOD" is great, "AMOLAD" is good and "TFF"... no interest...

I really hope there will be at least one more great album worth listening to, but I don't know if I should expect that...

  • @DamageIncM Out of all the new albums I'd also say TFF is my least favorite one but I still love it alot, AMOLAD was my favorite of the four because there are just songs in there like Brighter than a thousand Suns and Lord of Light that just blow my mind. And I think for me BNW and DOD are tied, they are just both to great.

  • @DamageIncM you should and stop being such a fool...TFF Is a great record...Have you listened to 1 song? listen to the WHOLE album 2-3 times and I think you'll change ur mind.

  • @MaidenOfTheMaidens

That's what I thought, so I did, but I got bored... unfortunately...

  • @DamageIncM Then listen to these songs : El Dorado,The Talisman,Starblind,TFF and Coming Home :P Believe me...you'll love them after a while. And it will be the same with the album that is getting released 2013 (They'll probably return to their the number of the beast, piece of mind or somewhere in time style)

  • @MaidenOfTheMaidens

Yeah, I will give it a try again some time. But the experience I had with it, it doesn't really intrigue me to go back to it, you know.

Maybe this is just one I have to "ignore", just one that doesn't fit for me.

Of course I want to like it and I hope that the next one's great.

But if it just doesn't "grab me", I can't help it and it's just disappointing, I don't mean to be all negative to begin with.

I hope indeed they'll kind of look back at those albums, but not force it.

  • @MaidenOfTheMaidens i hope so :) somewhere in time is the best album in milky way!!!

  • @francondor True Words UP THE IRONS!!! \m/

  • @francondor I heard that! I heard people talking shit when they played stuff off of Brave New World, Dance of Death, etc...They have no clue what they are talking about. Its all IRON FUCKING MAIDEN!

  • @francondor all albums are so good from the first to the last

  • No prayer for dying one of a melody song that I like

  • Aahh..you can't say there is one Maiden album better than others.. This is fucking Maiden! All 15 MAIDEN albums are unique, epic and best of.. Probably the weakest link is Virtual XI

  • @metalhead9909 Virtual XI is way better than X factor i think but we all have different opinions i guess

  • @PattetheBeast Actually I lost the Virtual XI cassette after few months, so i may not have the chance to enjoy this album to the fullest. I just felt Virtual XI is less metal than X factor..

  • Good song and album. I think it lacked success at the time because of how much impact Adrian Smith had on the band, plus Dickinsons voice became much gruffer and different in the intervening year between Seventh Son. It was like a different band but time has shown that it was still a good album and shouldn't be forgotten or left alone

  • BRUCE ALMIGHTY!!!!!!!!

  • fucking great vocals!!!!!! never reaching the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnd!!!! oooohhhh!!!

  • Hm I can kind of see what Nicko was talking about in 95 how Bruce was a non entity on the No Prayer and Fear of The Dark tour . Thankfully he and Adrian came back better than ever and Maiden is better than ever \\m//

  • @badreligion1231 Nicko was talking about Bruce's final tour in 1993, not this tour

  • One of the most beatiful ballad of Metal World. For me the No Prayer For The Dying is the BEST Maiden album.

  • Comment removed

  • Iron Maiden was forged from the fire of the gods!

Hephaestus the Greek god of fire, got drunk with Bacchus the god of wine.

He went to piss and scorched the earth and from his flames Maiden was born!

    UP THE IRONS!!

  • That Drumset is a small fortress! :D UP THE IRONS! from Finland

  • Bruce too young.that is what year?

  • I SAW THEM TWICE IN MEXICO! YOU LOSERS MEXICO IS IRON MAIDEN AND METALLICA FAVORITES BRUCE AND JAMES SAID IT NOT ME HAHAHA

  • @cosaminina como tan imbecil.... da lo mismo de que pais eres..

  • @cosaminina

yo los vi cinco veces en chile y ahora voy por la sexta. Asi que chupalo.......

  • what a great voice Bruce!!!amazing song!!!

  • my god bruce sounds amazing here.. wish i could have seen them live back then..too bad i was just barely born when the album came out

  • I saw them 2 times on that tour and it was amazing! IRON MAIDEN still rule!

  • I was in San Sebastian in that tour. Magic

  • One of my favorites albums...

  • thsi song is just great

  • irons!!!!!!!!!!! the best of the world!!!!!!!!!

bring to ASTURIAS, the people love you

  • A true Maiden fan like "No prayer for the Dying" Album, even the albums with Blaze

  • High quality sound version watch?v=LWqFP3OelD4

  • maiden é demais

  • the album was quite weak but they rocked on this tour. bruce sounds great here

  • @PhilClarke1080

Yes, I recall seeing them in Brussels in a completely sold out Vorst Nationaal. In the beginning it was a bit awkward with almost no props on stage. But looking back at it now it was pretty cool.

  • Best Melody ever made! I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG!

  • amen

  • GREAT SONG!!!!!!!!! UP THE IRONS

  • wow nowadays bruce runs around on stage more

  • okay let's say that some of the songs of this album are a bit weak so they make it a weak maiden album (if such a thing can exist)...WHY ISN'T THIS SONG IN EVERY CONCERTS PLAYLIST??

  • Great Song and Great Album!!! Up The IronS!!!!!

  • One of the best and most underrated Maiden songs.

  • There are times when I wonder and times when I cry....

  • idk y this album was underated its awsome man

  • I don't want to make anyone angry, but for me the classic Iron Maiden means the stuff from 1982 to 1986. Can someone explain me what is great with songs like Can I Play with Madness (which, to me, sounds like an annoying pop single), Holy Smoke (with endless repeats) or Bring Your Daughter...? I don't mean they are necessarily bad, but they are very different from the stuff they used to do. I can, however, agree that Mother Russia and Assassin are good tracks.

  • One of their finest songs.

  • GO JANICK! GO GO GO! mr maximum voltage man!

  • this album had great songs that only a true maiden fan appreciates: mother russia, running silent, running deep, no prayer for dying, the assassin, tailgunner, bring your daughter and holy smoke (which I like the less)

  • Dear Bruce. The lyrics are wrong :D

    But still a great song

  • GIA TON DJ MANO TON ADERFO....

  • This song is fucking crazy, metal gods dammit, METAL GODS!

  • Love this album.

  • Great song ! :))

  • What a fucking voice!

  • this is the most awesome and touching song ever! and the album is awesome! Fuck the poser bastards who will say something bad about iron maiden! UP THE IRONS!!

  • pure talent!!!!

  • Great vid man, what an energy from dave and bruce, thank god it does not show the cheesy solo of the prick janick, the only member that brings no added value to maiden.

  • @ahage4x4 Janick brough life into the band when metal was dying. He is sloppy at times but adds massively to the live show that for so many years was a band standing there static, playing it note for note. Bit unfair calling the bloke a prick.

  • @Cads666

Agreed. Who wants to hear note for note from the album. I certainly don't!

  • No Prayer For The Dying is a Great Fucking Album!!!

  • of the best songs of maiden, perhaps underestimated by the new guitarist at the time...janick....

    sorry my english, but

    UP THE IRONS!!!

  • OMG @ the solos so fasssssssssssst but so gooooood..great song, never heard the live version, thanks for the upload and UP THE IRONS!!!

  • bruce does sound awsome here

  • Wow...this song rules. Compare Bruce to some tours previous to this one, here he sings like a dream, unbelieveable

  • Nice, very nice, why They don't play/sing that on new tour?

  • bruce annpunced on the tour for the new album theyre starting earlier albums. the last tour theyplayed alot of 7th son. hopefully theyll do all the albums no prayer for the dying - dance of death, skiping X Factor cause that album has no friends

  • Skiping X Factor? Do you know how many people want to hear some awesome songs from X Factor, and especially Sign of the Cross? This album is amazing.

  • it has good songs but do yah wanna hear bruce dickinson sing them? and sign of the cross and Holy Smoke, HopeFully Tears Of The Dragon By Bruce Dickinsons And Here Comes Sign Of The Cross? Classic Rock To Dark Metal? It Dont Realy Mix If Yah Ask Me

  • Have you seen them playing Sign of the Cross at Rock in Rio? It was definitely one of the highlights of the show. It's good to mix different stuff, like most of the times they play Run to the Hills and Hallowed Be Thy Name back to back. I didn't really get the Tears of the Dragon comment, what exactly do you mean?

  • i think bruce rhaped sign of the cross, compared to blaze. and tears of the dragon is a wicket song, best song that wasnt a iron maiden cover by bruce dickinson. and i meant on my 1st comment they should do songs they never realy performed live. from here to eternity is one of the best if not the best song of fear of the dark, blaze never did that one live (Which is bullshit cause blaze could most likely sing better on that song, not saying hes better then bruce) Overlyall)

  • Well, I think Bruce did good on Sign of the Cross, it was just sped up. I agree that they should do more rare songs live, but I don't think From Here to Eternity is such a good song for a band like Maiden, they have way better songs. My favourite song from the Fear of the Dark album is Afraid to Shoot Strangers, in which Blaze did a great job because it fits his dark voice.

  • if blaze wasnt dark believe me, hes be One Of The Best Vocalists. I Msged Him On His Youtube Account Telling Him On His Next Solo Album That He Should Do Classic Rock Instead Of Heavy Darkish Metal. It Fits His Songwriting Skills. fuckin afraid to shoot strangers is amazing to.

  • Agreed, Blaze is awesome, and I think he is good at both dark and heavy songs as well as Van Halen type classic rock like the stuff he did in Wolfsbane. Too bad he had those respiratory problems while he was in Maiden and he couldn't sing at his full potential. He deserves a lot more appreciation and respect than what he gets. Replacing Bruce is a very hard task but Blaze did a great job.

  • this song is so freaking awesome I come to ask myself, how come the NPFTD album has had no success at all (especially compared to other maiden albums) ?

  • That´s the same question I have, one day we will know it. thanks for posting everybody!! ;-)

  • @eddvideo the reasons are so many #1 Adrian missing #2 horrible production

recorded at a Barn not at a state of the art studio as it should have been #3 No Prayer is the only good song.. all the other have good parts but not as whole..#4 silly opener, Tailgunner? Aces High anyone? #5 Bruce's voice is rough

#6 Not a worthy follow up to 7th Son #7 generic solos including Janick's scale of chaos! #8 Maiden is NOT IMaIden without Adrian #9 Not 1 Epic song..I adore Maiden but NPFTD was a disaster

  • @DarkLordNagash I honestly think it's because Adrian left and Janick was here so then everybody didn't seem to like janicks sound and people didn't like the change. That's my take on it.

  • @DarkLordNagash the album did great everywere in the world except one country and that is america. no prayer had maidens highest single they ever had n that was bring your daughter witch came number one in the uk charts. i think this album is so great i just love everything about it but dont think the album didnt make it it did just not in america. UP THE IRONS 75/4EVER

  • @DarkLordNagash because it was full with fillers mate, the only good song in that album was no prayer for the dying...it really has to be the worst album in the iron maiden history...

  • @LabisLovesMetalRock worst Dickinson era album maybe, but Virtual XI sucks just as much IMO

  • @DarkLordNagash it was a great album with great tracks in it, holy smoke, Bring your d to the slaughter... and others... i guess it didn had much exposure cos it was a time of transition for the band, new guitarist and bruce with his solo projects..., shame. i had the collectors edition, red vinyl !!! still in my hands! up the irons!!! from italy>

  • @deadgent haha vinyl, nice ^^

  • @DarkLordNagash I think thats not so hard to explain. All albums have at least one song that is played much live (except the blaze ones then) But NPFTD have none. Look to somewhere back in time, rock in rio, death on the road no NPFTD songs. Even the fear of the dark tour had only 2 NPFTD songs.

It's almost looking like maiden want this album to stay for the true fans.

  • @TheEdforce1 yeah possible. Shall I consider myself a "true fan" now ^^ ?

  • @DarkLordNagash Because, as much as I absolutely love Maiden, NPFTD is just not as good as the albums that came before it. That's really it. It has some fantastic moments on it (Tailgunner comes to mind), but the rest of it is just 'good', not 'phenomenal'.

  • @Metalfan79 Hmmmm... right, Fear Of The Dark is my fav Maiden album anyway ^^

  • @DarkLordNagash maybe ppl gotsad cuz adrian had just left the band...

  • great song

  • I hope they come again to leiden

  • oh my god, look at that package

  • ew, homo

  • one of the best maiden songs!!!!! Love IT!!!!

  • come to Turkey again :) plz :D we're waiting you maiden :)

  • NO PRAYER FOR TURKEY

  • sorry

  • come Greece again and agai and again

  • those are the tightest, testicle squishinist, sperm killinist jeans i've ever seen.

  • That guitar sends shivers down my spine! beautiful!

  • Bruce rules. UP THE IRONS!!!

  • Brilhante performance!!

    Awesome performance!!

  • todos dicen que no prayer for the dying es un disco malo, pero es muy bueno.

  • la voz de bruce inigualable canto esta cancion igual que en estudio

    5/5

  • Probably the best live recording I've ever heard of ol' Brucie boy!

  • I like this song very much and this performance is awesome!

  • guitar solos are go 300km/h!

none of dave and janick can caught them

  • Underrated album and song.

  • @zack2703 all maiden songs and albums are underrated except Number of the Beast and Run to the Hills. You have to feel sorry for people who never get to hear songs like this. UP THE IRONS FROM AUSTRALIA!!!

  • @zack2703 I agree man.

  • @zack2703 Yeah But still Rockin!!

  • iron fuckin maiden changes lives

  • And from time to time, lyrics too.

Either way, too much metal for one hand! \mm/
