very nice - but I live 4 miles from camp bestival and cannot afford to take my family, as its too expensive. I just have to make do with the traffic jams and noise.

Amazing to see this from a better angle - we were way off to the right and could only see the sides of the two turrets. The safety zone wasn't really big enough IMO, we had ash raining down into our eyes ... but no harm done. :) If (when?) we go back next year I'll definitely make the effort to find us a spot nearer the middle so we can see it properly!

@ richandtrish, really sorry to hear that, and I only speak for the production team for the show itself, but I hope you understand why with that scale of firework show off the top of a big old building we and the festival organisers are obliged by law and common sense to create a large safety zone...

looks great but didn't see it as me and the 4 kids were shunted out of the top of the castle field by security with their metal fences. Either we were corralled into a overpacked space or left. we did the latter.
