  • I literally came to this video with the sole purpose of telling you to put a 440 in it. But you already did, so for that I have to say great minds think alike.

  • @jamesandrewjohnson We may be the last two.......

  • @KeeperofTheMountain Yeah, we're a dying breed for sure. I don't know if you're just into Mopar, but my daily is a '78 Ford van... which also happens to be a 15 passenger 3/4 ton with a 460, Thrush headers, Edelbrock cam and intake, Motorcraft 4300D 4 barrel, MSD 6AL ignition box, and the list goes on. Then the C6 has a B&M shift kit and extra frictions and steels. But I don't drive often.. 7 mpg is the downfall.

  • @jamesandrewjohnson I am a Ford man. But straingly I have no Fords right now.......

  • @KeeperofTheMountain Noting wrong with that, drive what you've got. And my dad has a '76 Dodge Monaco with a 400 (and a 440 awaiting a swap), I have nothing against Dodge whatsoever.

  • Maybe it's time to hide Dads wire strippers?

  • Older Mopars are pretty much unkillable.

  • She's a Beauty. Are you going to restore it? I've got a '69 Camper Special....Great Truck!

  • @VRJensen1 When my dad is done with it I may do just that.

  • LOVE

    the wiring harness

  • i love it!!

  • nice wiring job!

    lol!

    idiot!

  • why put a car 440 in a truck ? why didn't u get a truck 440?

  • @davidstapleton275 We had a perfectly good 440 in a New Yorker sitting there. Also in 1970 there was no difference that I am aware of between the pickup motor and the car motor. For the "industrial" motor you had to get into 5ton + trucks or a dodge schoolbus. In the small trucks it was all in the rear end and it's gearing.

  • @KeeperofTheMountain kwel !! i didnt know that but in most car to truck engines there is a difference.but i love ur vids man truly nice!!

  • @davidstapleton275

They are the same motor, one has some heavier duty parts in it, and a heavier duty tranny as well.

  • SICK TRUCK

  • Did the truck originally come with a 360? Too bad It didn't have a 4 speed manaul

  • @zozx Originally it had a 318 with an automatic trans. We put in the 1970 440 out of the New Yorker.

  • Awesome truck!!

  • look at that shifter and the push button starter. Man chrysler had some cool gadgets back in the 60's. Way ahead of their time.

  • dana 60 3/4 ton...dana 70 1 ton

  • Camper Special is a 3/4 ton with 1 ton springs and a 1 ton rear axle

  • @FlashcamGordon Sounds really good.......I'll be watching for it! Thanks!

  • nice

  • cool old truck. it'd be good to see it start up after sitting longer...and how about one of the old camper in the background? :)

  • @floodedcaddy If you are talking about the Dodge Tradesman conversion van, you will not be disapointed!

  • LOL..Yep, I was talking about the Tradesman. I've had some old Dodge trucks and they are always "fun" to start after not running for a while..LOL... Would also like to see the actual coldstart oldstart of the Dodge truck. :)

  • @floodedcaddy The original cold start which I do have on video at least in part will be posted when Flashcamgordon and I can make a decent mix of it. It is cool as it happened in the snow.

  • @KeeperofTheMountain Sounds good......Looking forward to any/all oldstarts coldstarts in the truck or van....What year is the Tradesman? As best as I can see it looks like a mid 70s.

  • cool!
