Whoever uploaded this video should have put that explanation at the beginning. For those of you who haven't seen it the whole way through - it appears that immediately following this section of highway was a tunnel that had an entrance too low to allow trucks to enter. There are no signs indicating this. Once trucks got on this on-ramp they had two choices... stop and get off the highway, continue and crash into the tunnel.

@camgould One other thing if you read the earlier comments, the camera is mounted to a bridge, which is 11’ tall. These trucks are 13’6”. And there is (or was) no sign that warned drivers on the on-ramp until they turned the corner and saw the bridge. So it would be the city or whatever their version of caltrans that is stupid.

Tunnel is not too low, but trucks are forbidden. Only garbage trucks are allowed to go in it. The other side of tunnel is continued on a bridge that goes straight into city and trucks must not enter city. Also, usually cops stand on the other side of Danube.
Driver of the yellow truck did it the safest. other methods were a bit to risky if you asked me. But what a fucking stupid asshole you are if you make a tunnel to low on a damn highway!
I made a wrong turn one time and found myself with a 40 ton load about to go over a bridge with a 6 ton weight limit. Result: I had to back an 18-wheeler about a quarter mile against moderate traffic on a 2-lane highway. But that was better than going on, maybe wrecking a bridge and falling maybe 60 feet to who knows what?

That was pretty scary. It reminds me of this street here where large trucks try to make this tight you turn, then back up in the intersection. I almost got hit the other day turning left.
What gets me are all the idiots in the cars who don't slow down or stop when there is clearly a danger ahead. You NEVER overtake a turning truck if you value your safety.

The problem is that there is a tunnel, bridge and car racing track with intersections and through the bridge is prohibited for trucks over 5 tons. So many mistakes and returning in the opposite direction

They are traveling 120 km/h and have no idea what is going on, not to mention that it is forbidden to stop on highway. Even with disregarding to the rules, stopping on highway presents a great danger to everyone participating in traffic.
@VILABACKUP they should know whats going on seeing as though it is an everyday occurance for trucks to turn around there due to a bridge being too low. i am aware that they arent allowed to stop but they should slow down. hitting a truck at a combined speed of 240 km/h is far more dangerous than simply stopping or slowing down on the highway.
@jamabar As you will agree trucks (truck drivers) often drive through that area, but you can not claim that car drivers pass there every day, so they can not have any idea about that. Also trucks that pass in opposite way through stopping lane are making the biggest mistake, which can not be allowed, but is necessary due to poor highway planning.
@curtisonfire Dodos' point was that a road designer with 1/2 brain would mark something critical like that. It's absurd that as an engineer and crew you'd be so lazy to make drivers find an atlas. The road maintainers have a duty to post critical info.
yeah thay do..but not in Serbia and B&H..most important is to build the road and that's it...and most of the roads are more than 35 years old,built in the time when the trucks were much smaller then today. Today it's normal height 4,2 m or higher..

Tunnel is not too low, but trucks are forbidden. Only garbage trucks are allowed to go in it. The other side of tunnel is continued on a bridge that goes straight into city and trucks must not enter city. Also, usually cops stand on the other side of Danube.

I made a wrong turn one time and found myself with a 40 ton load about to go over a bridge with a 6 ton weight limit. Result: I had to back an 18-wheeler about a quarter mile against moderate traffic on a 2-lane highway. But that was better than going on, maybe wrecking a bridge and falling maybe 60 feet to who knows what?

@Blazer433 I guess you missed the part were the bridge is to low and there are no signs to warn truckers before they get to this point, that would be the fault of the city or who ever maintains the hwy’s. he did the best he could do at that point. I'm not saying its safe what they did, but there needs to be signs put up so truckers can reroute before they get here.

The problem is that there is a tunnel, bridge and car racing track with intersections and through the bridge is prohibited for trucks over 5 tons. So many mistakes and returning in the opposite direction

@jamabar with all respect, it is a highway, how can you even assume someone will stop and wait for trucks to pass? They are traveling 120 km/h and have no idea what is going on, not to mention that it is forbidden to stop on highway. Even with disregarding to the rules, stopping on highway presents a great danger to everyone participating in traffic.

@VILABACKUP they should know whats going on seeing as though it is an everyday occurance for trucks to turn around there due to a bridge being too low. i am aware that they arent allowed to stop but they should slow down. hitting a truck at a combined speed of 240 km/h is far more dangerous than simply stopping or slowing down on the highway.

@jamabar As you will agree trucks (truck drivers) often drive through that area, but you can not claim that car drivers pass there every day, so they can not have any idea about that. Also trucks that pass in opposite way through stopping lane are making the biggest mistake, which can not be allowed, but is necessary due to poor highway planning.

Actually the drivers are smart the tunnel that the camera is on is only 4 meters. Most of those trucks were 4.2 or 4.3 meters.
