  • "Most resistant"? To what?

  • Thats one hell of a coffin

  • Wow, I always wanted to live in Hobbiton!

  • Green House + fibreglass + polyester resin??? Inorganic and non recyclable. Old fibreglass boats get abandoned all over the world due to the fact that they are a serious pain in the ass to dispose of. Take an old fibreglass boat to a tip and they may charge you a tidy sum to dispose it due to the fact that it takes millenia to break down, in fact it is classed as toxic industrial waste in many places. Nice idea but hardly ''GREEN''.

  • so basicly its the teletubbies house.... ok im in

  • Umm there stealing my idea no but i talked to a friend about this and this is what i had imagined a world were everything builds on top of each other and grows know that's cool.

  • Gardeners are going to have a lot more injuries now from falling off houses..

  • ok, well this SOUNDS like a real idea, but did you hear at the end... it said that they would DELIVER your HOUSE... sounds questionable, doesn't it..

  • TELETUBBIIEEES! :D

  • do not show me drawings show me real pictures

  • sounds depressing living under the ground. also very ugly designs

  • How do you fix if the outside wall is broken ?

  • I KNEW TELETUBBIES WERE REAL :D

  • WIFE: Where are you going

HUSBAND: Outside to mow and water the roof....

    Seriously thought a cool idea....

  • I would assume; this would be sufficient protection from animals in a harsh environment. I can dig it.

  • 1:38 Do The Teletubbies know you're using their footage..?

  • time to become a Hobbit

  • lalanggamin ako nyan

  • at 0:25 - 0:29 i do thats why i play minecraft

  • So sod houses used 150 years ago are "new technology"?

  • I love this idea. I have always imgained living under ground ever since I saw an episode of Weirdest Homes and some dude lived underground but with dirt for walls.

  • well this doesnt look so bad

  • I've always wanted to live in the Shire.

  • This is where you'd live if your parents were a Teletubbie and a Hobbit. Pretty cool idea.

  • thts so freakin cool I wanna live there

  • is this forreals??

  • Does anyone know how much one of these houses actually cost?

  • Quisiera saber precios. Si estoy en Elche-Alicante-Valencia-España.

  • THE FREAKING SHIRE!

  • well i mean they build those earthships out of used tries packed with dirt....that's not entirely eco friendly. hempcrete is where it's at as far as eco friendly building materials....if only hemp were more accepted.........

  • my ancestors homesteaded with sod houses, good to see these coming back.

also, @1:38 it's clear you're marketing this to the teletubby lovers

  • Look like hobbits bagend. Probably hobbits must reserve rights for this houses

  • Wonder how the grass stays put on the almost 90 degree vertical walls if these houses have "smooth surfaces" as they say in the presentation!?

And how ecofriendly is it to build out of fiberglass?? If you know your biology you also know that anything that does not break down in contact with moist isn't ecofriendly ;)

    But otherwise cool idea :)

  • @ModernTechnocracy well, you don't want a biodegradable house, do you...

  • Teletubbies.

  • @willtu122 First thing I thought!

  • @willtu122 I'm glad I thinking that.... -_-

  • The resin this place is made of seems to be unhealthy to live in to me. Plastic. Good idea but they should build these houses out of cob.

  • drug cartels beat you guys to this...

  • I really wish I could live in here it is a really good house

  • Hmm, how would we get out during the Winter? <:/ We would be buried for real then...

  • Play football on the roof guys, ride your four wheeler, dirt-bike, mud truck, powerwheels all over your roof. :) I personally like this because you can camo your whole fucking house from the world, and grow/hide weed without issues.

  • boo, resins not eco friendly

  • hobbit homes

  • teletubby house

  • time to mow the roof -_-

  • 1:38 Why did they show a clip from the telly-tubbies? I know the houses look like the one from the show but why did they?

  • @liglugtheslug

    A better question:

    Why not?

  • how do you cut the grass on that hill O.o???

  • @ScarletFlame101786 This is where the goats enter the picture.

  • why am i watching this?

  • Jocque Fresco Idea's are coming to life!!! Thank you Mr. Fresco!

  • "Completely Waterproof", I think you haven't understood the fundamental property of a living space. If a house is completely waterproof then it's not a house. It's a plastic bag.

  • @AlMayer1100 How is it a plastic bag? Are you fucking retarded? Get an education!!!

  • In a Living place like this, you can get your own chicken, fresh hunteded and eat it with tha feders. And you could die right there too, somebody will close the door for you and will leave some flowers infront, hopefully.

  • mowing the lawn must suck...it's all uphill

  • Now I just Know that part with the rabbits was taken directly from the teletubbies, the bit of path you see when the image changes is actually the path surrounding Tinky and co's house!!!

  • "honey those pesky gophers are coming in through the ceiling again"

  • I would love to see an actual built model. You talk about the three bedroom version, can you please record one so we can see it?

  • @GalaxyofStarrs Wan't the Teletubby footage enough to convince You that this was real?

  • dope

  • 1:38 ...I believe I've seen that clip in teletubbies... ._.

  • Costs less money to heat and cool, is naturally protected from fire and wind... lower insurance, lower utilities.... Who cares if it costs a bit more.... at least you're not at the mercy of the weather or the utility companies.

  • Looks to cost more than a normal house (with labor costs)

  • Cool

  • Mom theirs a root coming through the ceiling again.

  • They probably shouldn't keep saying "buried." I don't think that word appears in all of the marketing guru "best ad words" lists.

  • @MillionthUsername

    *lol*:)))

  • @MillionthUsername well i think it does coz i would love to live under ground

  • Apparently these guys have built so many successful houses that they only use computer generated crap in the ad. The top of the house looks like a well manicured golf course. Id like to see someone try to mow up the side of the house. Its just so fake. FAKE FAKE FAKE advertising. Give us something real to look at.

  • @thewaterfalloflove i can do it!

  • Great concept.

  • hi.. what a bout the cost ? can you ship it to malaysia?

  • An interesting technology. Which shell is made of materials - dome ?

    Jaro

  • and the future is here! order your house now..we'll make it, drop it off, and bury it within 30 days..comes complete with rosie from the jetsons! fucking love technology..

  • We can live like hobbits?

  • not teletubbies! but hobbits :3

  • As long as it comes with a tubby custard machine I am good.

  • teletubbies

  • omg the rabbit shot at 1:38 is from the teletubbies! No joke!!!

  • Lord what if roots come through the ceiling D: or worms

  • What I don't get is why no one has a brain and mandates that these kinds of homes be built in Tornado and other harsh weather prone areas. This would prevent the yearly millions of dollars of damage etc. or at least "most" of the damage and the resulting costs.

  • @leeuniverse Actually it wouldn't help at all in that situation, the building would have to be flush with the ground to avoid the damaging winds and flying debris of a tornado, it would get ripped up and shredded like anything else above the ground.

  • @SilvaDreams This is wrong. Most of the house would be flush with the ground most wind debris would roll right over it. Yes, there would likely have to be some sort of re-inforced steal or some other system to slide and protect what windows & doors etc. exposed. But, what I'm saying is that having these kinds of houses would make a HUGE difference. Obviously you can't eliminate all potential damage, but instead of for example the entire house destroyed, maybe only some windows etc.

  • @leeuniverse because people have primitive minds and are, well, retarded... We're told that we have to spend half our lives paying off a mortgage from the bank for a fragile house that gets mold infested, rat infested, and that you have to spend a large portion of your paycheck just to heat and cool and to run. Not to mention you need insurance and the materials that are made of aren't all that good for you, paint, asbestos etc...

  • @iskdude57 Sure, that is a factor. While I'm not a leftist nor an enviro-nut, I am practical. Like with my suggestion, and then I last lived in Vegas. I could never understand why when even a partially liberal ran city, why when they had their housing boom, why they didn't mandate all houses be self sufficient, with solar shingles etc. Instead, they allowed them to build standard what I call sardine houses, yes with some minor efficiency improvements, but not as they should and could have.

  • @leeuniverse Well if people want to live like that I guess... I'd rather spend money on a sustainable house where I don't have to pay the bank for half my life AND have very few if any bills, what's left to pay for then? taxes? I'm not a yuppie but i consider myself a libertarian, this country is moving towards fascism. The best solution is to have a sustainable system for our civilization. Instead of gas we could run our cars on alcohol like in Brazil...

  • @iskdude57 I would pretty much agree with that..... I too wish we could make our own gas for our cars. Society indeed should be doing whatever it can for "self-sustainment". I also believe that if you own a property for a certain number of years, you shouldn't have to pay taxes on it. There is a certain point in which we should be allowed to be FREE.

  • TELETUBBIES!

  • never mind i gooled it, its 65 dollars payable buy check oer mony order.LOL you should have saved your money.

  • registered in the library of congress? what the fuck is that supposed to mean? is that slang for we could not patent the idea?

  • a house for grown-up teletubbies

  • Wow... this reminds me of where the Teletubbies live... ._.

  • "A new way of living" - REALLY? NEW? Anyone seen any of the dozens of earth sheltered housing design books from the early 1970's? NEW? I think not!

  • Hobbit's were living in houses like this long before teletubbies :)

  • Gorgeous!

  • we should all follow the teletubies example even they had to put some footage of it

  • It sounds a lot like a modern version of the dugout house that Laura Ingalls Wilder describes in her book "By The Banks Of Plum Creek"...

  • teletubi house

  • Why not just using adobe and stone? In Turkey this method worked well for the last ten milleniums.

  • You can find an example on a kids program called Teletubbies :)

  • No real examples of already build domes. Why ? I am interested because I want to construct a new house in this way almost completely in the ground. And with just cement I 'm afraid that after a year there'll be a humitidy problem or water coming in. But with the materials used in their example no need to be afraid of humitidy on the walls inside.

I suppose that "211greenhouse" is the youtube channel of the constructor, so can you please tell why their are no real examples available ?

  • "so that you can live buried in your natural garden"

  • YAY! i can live my dream of being a hobbit now!

  • live like a telly-tubby?

  • @darkwhitedirewolf Hobbit..

  • @darkwhitedirewolf exactly what I was thinking!

  • @darkwhitedirewolf

    *rofl*:D

  • I see the houses of those who have enormous money and am not impressed. All they wanna do is show off what they have. My imagination has me building something underground with south facing windows and blending into the environment with as little impact as possible. That would make me really pleased. Imagine how cosy and safe it would feel. (and I'm claustiphobic!)

  • Bag-end

  • a very ancient design that goes back hundreds of thousands of years.only the materials are different now.

  • Either they watched teletubbies too much when they were little... or they are making up for the word a 'Green' house

  • i love it!@!! maybe concrete would be better and stronger...

  • @grandmastermicochero I recommend you look up Monolithic Dome Homes. They have been designing largely indestructible concrete domes of a variety of sizes and shapes almost 40 years. They are built to withstand most conveivable natural disasters, fires and can last about 500 years. Insurance rates are the lowest around. The best thing is they cost slightly less to build and cost a lot less to heat or cool.

  • @mojohns44 thanks,,, i will definately check in on that

  • Its like a hobbit house, it would be nice to have one

  • FAKE, look how they stole the film material from here: watch?v=KlwGIB3EucQ

  • Teletubbies!!!!!!!!

  • NOTICE HOW THIS SHIT ONLY SHOWS GRAPHICAL RENDERINGS BUT NO COMPLETED PROJECTS.. ANYONE CARE TO BE A FUCKING GINNIEPIG WITH THIS SHIT TO SEE HOW LONG IT LASTS BEFORE YOUR HOUS IS FULL OF WATER, SETTLES UNEVENLY AND CRACKS RIGHT THE FUCK OPEN.. FREEZES IN THE WINTER.. FUCK..

  • Interesting theorycraft, but until the builder can actually show a video of a REAL building, why would anyone believe this? All I see are computer generated images-has nobody ever bought one and been happy enough to allow you to videotape it?

I'm not feeling the warm fuzzy feeling you were intending with the bunny rabbits...

  • They actually used a clip from Telletubby's @ 1:40

  • @forgetfulmark It's true my son watches telly tubbies every day that's a clip for the opening of the show...

  • Hey it's the teletubby cave! lol

  • i want one..... but i want neighbours and company as well.... could not stick isolation..

  • How much?

  • i would jump the roof with my qaud

  • Washable walls? sweet. Let's hose down the carpet while we're at it

  • AWESOME!! I made the same thing for my ex-GF but it had no windows or doors and was a lot smaller.

  • @TrueAmericanGrit ReALLY? That was really going above and beyond. I just put mine under my natural garden after we broke up..

  • 100% Green - Made from Fibreglass... I think that's an oxymoron.

  • Comment removed

  • Fiberglass ecologically friendly? Huh? Since when?

  • It's different. Kinda cool. But if I had a house like this. I think my guests would start singing the theme tune to the teletubbies

  • i can hear it now, get the fuck up off your ass and mow the roof!!

  • Yeah, and a tree's roots which are strong enough to crack cement TOTALLY aren't a problem.

  • @zaperatus Maybe they have overcome the problem. I would not allow trees to grow anywhere near the structure myself. Once a year, burn off the entire property to prevent any trees or shrubs from growing. Yeah the roof is on fire, but it is ok.

  • lets see a real one! in a real environment!

  • I want to live instinctively like an animal.

Sign me up for two Greenhouses.

  • Shire - 21c.

  • very nice. I would love to live in such a house. Can you get them in Denmark?

  • Roots get into your house = Screwed?

  • All I saw was a bunch of CGI - I didn't see a single house actually built that was shown.

I mean, really, how do you mow your walls?

  • the web site?

  • Someone saw the Teletubbies and got an "original" idea.

  • hobbit houses ? are these available in finland ?

  • cost?

    any one??

  • 0:27 Yes im an earth worm ;-)

  • but will it blend

  • incase of comets or asteroids?

  • Decent concept... Not sure about resin out-gassing... and I don't think that dirt will want to cling to a 60 degree slope like you show it... The grass looks painted on... Let's see a real project with actual habitat (read native flowers and grasses, and proper soil slope)... In fact I would want a vegetable garden on top which would require raised beds, walkways and a soil depth, in places, of 2 feet... Let me see that please.

  • @bosatsu76 - try earthbag houses & domes. 2ft soil, hmmmm, try shipping containers those can be buried / half-buried into ground & should support heavier loads + wet. good start anyway.

how about traditional boat-building - as the roof.

  • reminds me of the hobbit.

  • still prefer earthships

  • awsome

  • Great. Now I have to mow the roof...

  • @didgemonster

    astroturf. :-)

  • @didgemonster

    Lol!

  • Imagine driving through one of these neighborhoods ☉_◎

  • Teletubies were right :)

  • right...

  • What hapends when it comes snow?? It will block windows and doors??

  • Does the Tolkien Estate get a cut?

  • For how Much is it?

  • cody lundin gotta be happy... or angry

  • Too bad it is not as strong as concrete would be. That is the problem of fiberglass. But the problem of concrete would be that it is not so light weight to transport if it is already formed.

  • @RefuseForced2Link why would it need to be as strong as concrete? the house is buried and thus will be protected from strong winds and other problems?

  • Welcome to the shire.

  • i use to watch this as a kid

  • have a big party invite every you no when every one is wasted get your mates to dress up as the Teletubbies. they will trip balls

  • This is Bullshit GreenWashing folks! How the hell is fiberglass (Petro-Resin) ecologically friendly? Never mind the transportation fuel. How about the DEBT SLAVERY you'll go into & the Evil Banksters & Oil Barons you'll support to pay for this monster? Besides, who wants plastic, toxin off gassing walls? For a REAL ecological version of this that you can afford & build yourself, look up Mike Oehler, John Hait or "wofati buliding". Study Permaculture and stick it to The Man!

  • @kingofthebrittains check out calearth . org Building using bags and earth to make super adobe buildings. Used already as emergency shelters in third world countries. Cheap and disaster proof and can be build on site without transportation cost of all rhe materials.

  • @kingofthebrittains They tried standard drywall interior coverings from China in Costa Rica, but the homes had to be gutted due to mold. People sleep in boats that have the same fiberglass walls and ceilings as this home, so why has it suddently been declared toxic in any way? it's dryer than poured concrete.
