I RELLY NEED TO KNOW THIS! ive got a battery powerd mirror ball motor but ive got a 8" mirror ball coming in the post. i do not have any sort of hook i can hang it up with and do not whant to do this for saftey reasons what should i hook it up wi
Thanks for the info... I'm buying my daughter one of these for chistmas, for her room! Although I'm not a dj, this was a very helpful video. thanks again. apreciated.
I dont know why he had to make it so hard to use a light that projects a better beam of light so when you add more lights ,the tiny light beams multiply and look so much better!
You said you could use this during a party or dinner. If people are eating when there is loads of little beams spinning around the room, would'nt that make the people feel sick? lol
Very nice. Thanks for taking the time to share this. It was very useful as I'm trying to figure out how I can use a mirror ball at one of my events. Thanks again....
Yup he's clearly brain dead. Not only did he thoroughly and completely explain every thing you could want to know about a mirror ball, he's done the same explanation for many many many aspects of DJing and has cataloged everything in one super-DJ tutorial portal for YOUR viewing pleasure...
Tip: for those using DMX, try pointing scanners at the balls instead of pinspots, for a brighter effect and more creative options. Set up some presets on your DMX controller, and you can gently flood the room with any colour you like for slower songs. Also try letting the scanners "glance" over the mirror balls as they're flying around during up-tempo numbers.
If the venue permits it, a little smoke/haze adds a LOT to this classic effect.
Don't know if you noticed, but if you look on the floor, you'l see that the light spots look exactly like the pin-spot (is that how its written?): a circle with a line and a smaller circle inside it.
That is beacause the mirror reflects the light of the pin-spot, meaning, it reflects the immage.
That way, if you cut a pice of paper on the format of, lets say, a star, you will have tons of stars on your kitchen! :D
to mpt77, i think you will find that if you go into a shop in the uk and ask for a disco ball they will look at you a little stupid. Perhaps it's called a disco ball in other countries, in the uk it's a mirror ball due to it being coverd in small mirrors. thanks j
Nice vid. And yes those are still used a lot :) and they really make nice effect tho some people might get sick around those. My bro had one on his party and it was fun all those light bubbles going around and around and around the room.
This is the American DJ mirror ball from your other vid?
