  • the lovers the teamers and me ...........la le la looooooooooooo !!!!

  • This really spoils everything.

  • Where did this trailer get on YouTube? what was the fount?

  • You know this movie made me think of cajun food, & made me want to open a cajun resturant, because of kermet beginning in a swamp, & doc hopper French fried frog legs resturant, so yeah, good movie.

  • I just realized something funny XD my mom was 15 when this movie came out and i'm 15 right now and the muppets just came out XD

  • How the hell can 4 people dislike a complete classic that stole millions of peoples hearts?

  • @Skullcap37 the old guys disliked it twice each lmao

  • Iiiii

  • Iii

  • OMFG! I GOT THIS TRAILER ON A VHS TOO, i think it was either, a Tom and Jerry Movie, or Count Duckular

  • Wow! Most of those guest stars are dead

  • I remember watching this in the theatre years ago.

  • The films a bit slow moving and some parts dull but I think the films briliant

  • Man, were trailers really four minutes long back in the day?

  • Awesome trailer, but I think it was a mistake to include the finale with *all* of The Muppets at the end; they should've kept that scene a surprise for the moviegoers. Perhaps if they had kept the sound of them singing and dub it over another scene for the trailer...

  • I wish they would release these great films on blu-ray disc.

  • @jesusfreakchild I do the same. Wish it for Disney. But I wish they will never do this.

  • there is nothing wrong at all with being green

  • I am so excited for the next one...I just wish a trailer would be up soon...

Though I wonder who's worse, Doc Hopper or Tex Richman...or if wearing a frog suit or doing a rap number is more embarrassing...

"And there's a whole room full of puppets doing karate."-Stefon

  • I din't know that there was a trailer existed. Now this is great. I don't like the romance parts of the movie, but overall it's a great movie.

  • longest trailer

  • The best quotes comes from a green cloth frog. The best movies star puppets called muppets. Am I crazy or does anybody else think the same?

  • Anyone else hungry for pizza hut??o_O

  • Look at his legs when he was rideing the bike !! haha Mrs.Piggy is annoying and Jack: i just gota catch up with those guys!

  • @TheSuperpop33 "Jack not name, jack job,"

the monster's name is actually Sweetums.

  • I would like to see the results of scientific studies about the effects of actually following one's dreams. I am not sure it is healthy to promote such fantasy. Movies like this may cause more harm than good by encouraging people to follow dreams instead of just working hard for little reward. Seeing others succeed while they themselves fail may take a huge toll on failures. If the children and adults are not aware of the possibility of success, failure may not be as painful

  • @zanethezany You hit the nail right on the head. I can speak from personal experience of being a life long fuck up. You don't get the green without a little sweat, blood, and sacrifice. Dreams are ok, as long as you put the work in to justify them and get real world results. Everything else is pure fantasy.

  • Caper was the best

  • Ariel as Miss Tracey, Brer Fox as Waitor, Captain Hook as Balloon Salesman, Mr. Centipede as bar man, Quasimodo as Piano Player & Michael Isner or Walt Disney as Lou Lord.

That's my official The Disney (Muppet) Movie character list. Any objections?

  • OK, how's this? Disney character versions of Elmo, Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, the Count, Grover, Oscar, Zoe, Telly, Baby Bear, Snuffy, Abby Cadabby, Rosita, Prarie Dawn and Murray. Think anyone can mannage?

  • disney doesnt own the rights to sesame street or its characters, as they are owned by sesame workshop..

  • I know that. It's suppose to be a game. I say some Muppet character names, or other channels do that, & I, or other channels, say who they'd be if they were Disney characters. So, can you mannage trying to guess who those Sesame characters would be in Disney style?

  • That would suck donkey balls.

  • What? One vid series thing I'm doing is Disney versions of Muppet stuff, & I'd like suggestions for which character should be which from everything? So I don't think that kinda series would "suck donkey balls".

  • @campaug True. However, ITC Entertainment owned the Muppet Show and the Muppet Movie during the 70's, before Jim Henson productions were formed.

  • lol i love the muppets deadpan humor...:)

  • "Or...his legs." hahahaha

  • Where did you find this? How did you get your hands on the original 1978-1979 trailer? Hard to believe this was 30 years ago when my mom was still in college. One of my favorite movies! Those trailers seemed pretty long back then. Thank you for uploading!

  • OH KERMIE DON'T BEEP BEEP!

  • Wow, this is one of my all-time favorite movies. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've seen it. But I'm pretty sure I've NEVER seen the trailer. Thanks!

  • Please? Anybody?

  • C'mon! C'mon! C'mon! I got great ideas for Disney as Muppets. Tell me! I'm dying of not having comments! Really, I don't have any new comments.

  • (scoffs, trying not to laugh): Too easy! Baloo as Chuck, Smart Ass, the leader of the Weasels who wears pink from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, as Weasel, Randal from Monster's Inc as Lizzard, Kaa as Snake, & Flounder as Catfish. Anyone other suggestions?

  • Well? Anybody have any other character ideas I asked in my first comment?

  • Chuck and the Riverbottom Gang from emmet otter's jugband christmas.

  • I think the Electric Mayhem should be King Louie, Dr. Teeth, Woody, Floyd, Ferb, Zoot, Cousin Tallullah, Janice, Simba, Animal, & Phineas, Scooter. You got any ideas?

  • I like your help, fahrmeier. But that would make it seem like all the characters will be "Mickey & Friends." I know Minnie can be tougher than Cindy, & Goofy is funnier than Pooh, but Dopey seems stranger & would fly on balloons. Donald would freak out, & when he lands on the ground, he'd start quacking loudly. Dopey wouldn't freak out. Have any other characters? Try the Electric Mayhem.

  • I need your advice, YouTube members. I'm gonna do a Disney version of "The Muppet Movie", but I don't know which Disney character should be who. Can you guys give me some suggestions? I think Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie & Gonzo should be Mickey, Cinderella, Pooh Bear, & Dopey.

  • Not sure if this would work...but if you want it to the obvious choices would be Mickey for Kermit, Minnie for Piggie, Donald for Fozzie and Goofy for Gonzo

  • same im a huge muppet/jim henson fan & i hadn't seen this trailer :) how did u find it?

can u finf the great muppet caper trailer?

  • I am a big fan of the Muppets. and I had saw all three movies when they first came out. Sadly I had never seen the trailer until now Thanks. :)

  • Okay at about 0:55 we decided that was my Band mates cause we always call her a wildabeast!

  • Take a look at 2:12! it's frank oz

    (miss piggy/ fozzie) wrestling fozzie!

  • this is the greatest movie of all time!

  • Earth becomes Mearth....Brilliant.

  • Wasn't this movie made in 1979?

  • Yep

  • @BobbyBenson85, cool.

  • Yep.

  • @Gaarahinafan2 it was actually filmed in summer 1978 but they released it in June 1979

  • the first time u saw they had legs!!!

  • LOL.

  • Thanks For Uploading The Whole Trailer.

  • Yea, i've got the entire movie on VHS tape around here somewhere. Still one great movie.

  • I want that Doc Hopper frogsuit.

  • A great trailer for a truly great film.

  • Wow, sort of wish this was on the DVDs...but sadly neither Columbia/Tri-Star or Disney cared so...oh well, great to see it here!

  • Absolutely AMAZING! Thank you so much! A great trailer to one of the greatest movies I've ever seen.

  • I actually have a very rare original tv spot trailer for this film. It is on 16mm film, but a few of the first sprockets on the reel have broken.

  • I don't know if I have ever seen this preview. If I have I was too young to remember. It made me teary eyed though, I guess Jim Henson and his Muppets were a big part of my childhood.

  • Very Rare! There's like footage in this trailer that wasn't in the movie itself!

  • @Quesal What footage in this trailer wasn't seen in this film?

  • @offcampusstudent1993 well there's the close up of Fozzie saying "Are u aure u won't come with us to Hollywood." That line was in the movie, but from a far distance.

  • @offcampusstudent1993 also there's a song playing that wasn't in the movie during the Doc Hopper/frog legs footage, and at 1:42 when it shows the Electric Mayhem on the bus, they sang "getting there is half the fun come share it with me" but in the final cut, they just basically played the song and only sang "movin' right along."

  • @Quesal You should check out an article on Tough Pigs about the first draft of the script...they had a running gag about Henry Kissinger making a cameo. XD

  • @Quesal yes it was!

  • @Quesal A few times i've seen footage in trailers that don't make it to the version of the movie that's actually released.

  • Is that Mark Elliot doing the voiceover?

  • It sure sounds like him.

  • such a wonderful movie I remember seeing this on tv as a kid and delighted in it when it was on

  • SWEET! I've only seen this once and it was a very poor copy. Thank you for posting!!!

  • This Is Rare
