You know this movie made me think of cajun food, & made me want to open a cajun resturant, because of kermet beginning in a swamp, & doc hopper French fried frog legs resturant, so yeah, good movie.
Awesome trailer, but I think it was a mistake to include the finale with *all* of The Muppets at the end; they should've kept that scene a surprise for the moviegoers. Perhaps if they had kept the sound of them singing and dub it over another scene for the trailer...
I would like to see the results of scientific studies about the effects of actually following one's dreams. I am not sure it is healthy to promote such fantasy. Movies like this may cause more harm than good by encouraging people to follow dreams instead of just working hard for little reward. Seeing others succeed while they themselves fail may take a huge toll on failures. If the children and adults are not aware of the possibility of success, failure may not be as painful
@zanethezany You hit the nail right on the head. I can speak from personal experience of being a life long fuck up. You don't get the green without a little sweat, blood, and sacrifice. Dreams are ok, as long as you put the work in to justify them and get real world results. Everything else is pure fantasy.
Ariel as Miss Tracey, Brer Fox as Waitor, Captain Hook as Balloon Salesman, Mr. Centipede as bar man, Quasimodo as Piano Player & Michael Isner or Walt Disney as Lou Lord.
That's my official The Disney (Muppet) Movie character list. Any objections?
OK, how's this? Disney character versions of Elmo, Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, the Count, Grover, Oscar, Zoe, Telly, Baby Bear, Snuffy, Abby Cadabby, Rosita, Prarie Dawn and Murray. Think anyone can mannage?
I know that. It's suppose to be a game. I say some Muppet character names, or other channels do that, & I, or other channels, say who they'd be if they were Disney characters. So, can you mannage trying to guess who those Sesame characters would be in Disney style?
What? One vid series thing I'm doing is Disney versions of Muppet stuff, & I'd like suggestions for which character should be which from everything? So I don't think that kinda series would "suck donkey balls".
Where did you find this? How did you get your hands on the original 1978-1979 trailer? Hard to believe this was 30 years ago when my mom was still in college. One of my favorite movies! Those trailers seemed pretty long back then. Thank you for uploading!
Wow, this is one of my all-time favorite movies. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've seen it. But I'm pretty sure I've NEVER seen the trailer. Thanks!
(scoffs, trying not to laugh): Too easy! Baloo as Chuck, Smart Ass, the leader of the Weasels who wears pink from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, as Weasel, Randal from Monster's Inc as Lizzard, Kaa as Snake, & Flounder as Catfish. Anyone other suggestions?
I think the Electric Mayhem should be King Louie, Dr. Teeth, Woody, Floyd, Ferb, Zoot, Cousin Tallullah, Janice, Simba, Animal, & Phineas, Scooter. You got any ideas?
I like your help, fahrmeier. But that would make it seem like all the characters will be "Mickey & Friends." I know Minnie can be tougher than Cindy, & Goofy is funnier than Pooh, but Dopey seems stranger & would fly on balloons. Donald would freak out, & when he lands on the ground, he'd start quacking loudly. Dopey wouldn't freak out. Have any other characters? Try the Electric Mayhem.
I need your advice, YouTube members. I'm gonna do a Disney version of "The Muppet Movie", but I don't know which Disney character should be who. Can you guys give me some suggestions? I think Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie & Gonzo should be Mickey, Cinderella, Pooh Bear, & Dopey.
Not sure if this would work...but if you want it to the obvious choices would be Mickey for Kermit, Minnie for Piggie, Donald for Fozzie and Goofy for Gonzo
I don't know if I have ever seen this preview. If I have I was too young to remember. It made me teary eyed though, I guess Jim Henson and his Muppets were a big part of my childhood.
@offcampusstudent1993 well there's the close up of Fozzie saying "Are u aure u won't come with us to Hollywood." That line was in the movie, but from a far distance.
@offcampusstudent1993 also there's a song playing that wasn't in the movie during the Doc Hopper/frog legs footage, and at 1:42 when it shows the Electric Mayhem on the bus, they sang "getting there is half the fun come share it with me" but in the final cut, they just basically played the song and only sang "movin' right along."
@Quesal You should check out an article on Tough Pigs about the first draft of the script...they had a running gag about Henry Kissinger making a cameo. XD

Though I wonder who's worse, Doc Hopper or Tex Richman...or if wearing a frog suit or doing a rap number is more embarrassing...

@campaug True. However, ITC Entertainment owned the Muppet Show and the Muppet Movie during the 70's, before Jim Henson productions were formed.
