At :52 you clicked set from first clip added to project. When I click that my NTSC Progressive Widescreen changes. Do I need to select that first option?

I did that and the settings that I put in they get reset. It doesn't stay like yours does in the video. It switches to reset. When I make the video I notice that I have bars on the sides and bottom no matter what I try. I'll post up the video really quick so I can show you what I'm working with.

i have the original dazzle video creator platinum, the dvc170 model and it uses studio 10 and thats why i dont need amcap and in regards to the pal 60 i dont know, when i record in pal 60 it doesnt work for me, and ntsc does. i guess it cos the dazzle is a US product, i dunno

drag in a saturation adjust 'reset to none'

then change the amount to 0.4540

change the centre to 0.000

and change the spread to 1.000

thats the mid colour boost

not entirely sure, i think ive heard that u dont get the mpeg4 option on that model so probably not but u can stick to ur current format or mpeg2 i think and use the vegas settings

When i hit Mpeg 1/2 highest quality it says "your computer may not be fast enough for real mpeg capture"..

The pop up doesnt mean you cant. hit custom quality and find the highest amount that doesnt have the pop-up. then set the quality to 1.25 of what doesnt give you a pop-up.

I am honestly Amazed that the initial quality is MP4. I ran so many test and MP4 was terrible. Pinnacle 12 doesnt record in MP4. but I can take any format "Neutral" as in not an MP4 or Other test results. and render them in. MP4 looks the worst.

Do research and youl see that MPEG2 is not as advanced as MP4 but is alot higher in Quality

And i nevr knew that 0:44 you can set Progressive.

lol, i used to use mpeg1/2 untill i gave mpeg4 a go, and me and u have different studio's so i cant really say much at all cos i dont no squat about 12.

i can only show ppl my settings and hope that it benefits them som how :)

Software shouldnt matter much about Format, my Vegas trial expired so i cant try these settings out, but both pinnacle and vegas i got bad results with MP4. AVI looks bad on youtube but can be rendered into other formats to look just as good. so it's possible that MP4 is similar in that. So if i'm right then MP4 might be great to render into other formats but isnt good in quality on it's own.

Have you pasted an MPEG2 and MP4 from the same game in vegas and rendered them together?

havnt a clue, if u have MPEG 1/2 then use that instead, its almost the same thing, mpeg4 ever so slighlty better, not much tho
