Toonami WILL Return to use one day. I know this sounds like another fan shouting rumors, but it will be back some day. There's word going around, some of this said by guys who work for Toonami, that TOM will be back in 2013 or 14. WE WILL SEE TOM AGAIN!
This was the start of the fall of Cartoon Network. Yes. CN sucks major muffins now. It's like the horrible executives at MTV bought the network out and started making decisions or something. "Hey, lets take a station dedicated to a theme and air stuff having nothing to do with that theme, like LIVE SHOWS!"
Cartoon Network is starting to redeem itself just a little. Though it may suck compared to days of old, there's still potential with some of the shows. Chowder, Adventure Time, hell, even Ben 10 and Symbionic Titan (Made by Genndy Tartakovsky). It also has introduced some decent bands over the past few years. But Toonami should at least be on Boomerang.

@Patchworkdrum They're their own worst enemy when it comes to entertainment (today's generation). I hear some of the younger folks say how awesome retro stuff is. Then those same younger folks just continue to turn on reality shows and other crap on TV today giving it ratings. They don't comprehend to NOT WATCH CRAP, and the market will listen :) For example Netflix. Has a ton of retro cartoons now. If everybody would stream them, it would get put up on their radar and corporates would notice
@Patchworkdrum I do blockbuster online as well (netflix & blockbuster together is awesome it's under $15 a month for movies, tv shows, game rentals). Both are getting more retro stuff. Blockbuster has Humanoids Of The Dee. Awesome retro horror movie. Netflix streams Bill & Teds Excellent Adventures (toon), Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors, Robotech, Voltron, She-Ra, Inspector Gadget, The Littles, Filmations Ghostbusters. Guys should even stream She-Ra and Rainbow Brite just to get Retro notice.

My heart feels heavy whenever I think of how Toonami may never return, instead replaced by mindless cartoons literally made out of a Flash animation program. Toonami has given us life lessons since Moltar (the dude before TOM), they've given us great shows to watch, they've given us reasons to watch tv. And then some dumb asshole decides to cancel it because they're foreign shows. But you know what? 99% of all the shit he uses is foreign, because (face it) N. American cartoons and exports suck.
Well, besides the few that Toonami showed. Like MegasXLR or... there's something else, I just know it. Anyway, MegasXLR was basically one of the only North American cartoons that was freaking awesome. I forget why they cancelled it... oh well. Let bygones be bygones.

Well what can i say, as maturity grew i decided it was time i gave up all my favorite shows i had been obsessing over for like 7 years. DBZ,Gundam,Zoids,Yu Yu Hakusho,Ruroni Kenshin, and tons of others, were my life. They were what I would look forward to everyday, and especially Saturday. Even though i've chosen to give up anime due to i became kinda fanatical, Toonami gave me some great times. Toonami and Tom will never be forgotten- Andrew

I grew up watching Toonami.. watching Gundam, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z every time new episodes came out.. I didn't like the new designs and some lineups, but Toonami made my early childhood.

Rest In Peace Toonami. It's really given some great memories throughout my lifetime. Cartoonnetwork just tried to many new things. Therefore giving a reason for low ratings.
It just failed once CN tried Miguzi. Then about mid-2005. Saturday night Toonami started to stink.
1997-2003. The golden era of toonami. It's funny because those were the same years of the WWE Golden Era and also some of the years of the U.S. economic growth. Late '90s - Early 00's. Best time of my life.

I also remember toonami's first and ultimate sat night block. start off with duel masters for comic relief, and then rave master, then teen titans, JLU, megas xlr, yu yu hakusho, dbz and gundam seed, all with awesome music, promos, and gaming reviews. They were all good times. Toonami had presentations that prevented the american anime market from becoming low key. Most pop art would arrive unannounced, even anime. Toonami was more than a block, it gave passion in anime.

And the time mini tom hosted toonami and died protecting the ship on intruder. lol I mean there was a monthly drawing special, one of which showed tom with wings. Here's the deal I thinks it's between parents complaining, and budget. Cartoon networks quality has really gone down the past few years.
Even those edits were neccesary. It doesn't
matter what time the show is on. their is people out there that flips through channels. and surf the internet. and when they find something they don't agree with they write it down. They go through their notes. And send complaints to companies.
I actually know people like this. So it does happen.
