i tested the mac osx crack in vmware and it lags is so bad you cant really do anything enjoyably. i have a Q9550 2.83Ghz quad core processor and 4gb ddr3 ram on windows 7 64-bit.

Really depends on the processor (if it's dual-core 2GHz or faster you should be fine). Also, I don't know about in VMWare, but Mac OS X only supports a handful of video cards. Make sure you're not using integrated video or a laptop.

Before the Mac OS X boots up, immediately press "Enter" during the 8-sec countdown.

in boot: Type in "platform=ACPI|X86PC" (without "")

If you can't find the "|" key, it is usually the combo key of "\"

*You can use help for more info. in boot: type "?" and press enter. In the help list, go to the 2nd page by pressing "spacebar", there you will see the platform command.

Windows XP Home, 512MB DDR RAM, 80GB 7200RPM HD, Nvidia FX5700, AMD Sempron 64 bit 2800+ 2.3GHz overclocked. I think I said 1.6Ghz in another post, my BIOS reports that I did infact overclick it though :/

I think mostly you could use some more RAM. It's really not THAT slow though. I'm running a Core 2 Duo, 2 gigs of ram and raid 5, so it might be a little more usable. I'll let you know if I decide to give it a try.
