FWIW , this is how most of us Gators feel bout the lost to Michigan when our D was all Freshmen the year before . The Sooners will be back . But our Gators are all returning also . 2009 should be a great year for College football

If The Gators would have lost, I would have NO QUESTION about it, wore orange and blue everything to school with my head held high. Despite recent big-game losses, OU is still a powerhouse team. There's a lot of talent both with the players and the coaching staff. I have a feeling the Sooners are going to come out firing next year, and best of luck to them.

He pulled on the injured ankle after a touch down, and Percy didn't have a run after that. Congratulations on having a 58-40 edge, and I mean that wholeheartedly. At OU, it's all about national championships (7-3 edge for OU), but I guess Texas doesn't care as much about those.

Oklahoma shot themselves in the foot, twice, on the goal line in the 1st half man. That was the difference in the game. Oklahoma shoulda converted both of those into TD's. Woulda been 21-7, and the game would've been different.
I thought Oklahoma's defense played very well for 3 quarters. Oklahoma seemed to run more than usual, and a couple of big penalties hurt you early. I'm not a big college football fan, but I was rooting for The Sooners man.

Dude, it was a 3-way tie, do you not get it? I personally think UT was better than Tech, but Tech BEAT UT, you can't just dismiss them. No, it isn't fair to Texas, but it wouldn't have been fair to Tech if UT went either. You can't please everyone.
We'll never know how UT would've fared against Florida, so it's easy to say Texas would win just because they both beat OU. Besides, UT had a (slim) chance at a split w/ a strong performance, and they barely beat OSU, so you get no sympathy from me.

Too bad that 99% of the OU fans that I've encountered before and after the game weren't as classy as you are.
I don't know what you could ever use to describe that feeling on the 8th, but I had a nausous-to-my-stomach sick feeling during the Ole Miss game.

I've been a Texas fan since 2000, so it's always hard for me around red river shootout time (what with Texas losing HARD in '00 and '03) OU has a good strong program. But THIS year, in the 2008 season, I am sorry to say that Texas was better than Oklahoma. And I have a feeling we will be again next year.

Congratulations on having a 58-40 edge, and I mean that wholeheartedly. At OU, it's all about national championships (7-3 edge for OU), but I guess Texas doesn't care as much about those.

Props for posting. It sure hurts to lose. Especially the big one. Rebuilding year coming up. It doesn't get much worse. Most teams fans would jump off the bandwagon. The Sooners will be back until we get it right.

Way to screw up the Big 12. Only one Big 12 South team its bowl game. Another team defeated blOU by 10 points. And the "Heisman winner" somehow couldn't beat the other two guys up for the Heisman.

i kinda feel bad for you all, but all the boasting that Big 12 fans have done (amongst UT and OU) over the past season has made it hard for me to feel sympathy.
just realize that this day too will pass, and you will still be proud of your school.

Oklahoma shot themselves in the foot, twice, on the goal line in the 1st half man. That was the difference in the game. Oklahoma shoulda converted both of those into TD's. Woulda been 21-7, and the game would've been different.
I thought Oklahoma's defense played very well for 3 quarters. Oklahoma seemed to run more than usual, and a couple of big penalties hurt you early. I'm not a big college football fan, but I was rooting for The Sooners man.

I feel for you, man. I just don't understand what it is about OU in bowl games. They've dominated the Big 12 for years now, but in the big January games, they struggle like never before. But hey, at least it wasn't another debacle like we saw in '05 against SC. OU was in it until the end.

Texas beat OU)- TEXAS,the better team, would have been in the national title game, and probably wouldn't have lost, especially not by 10! Dude, it was a 3-way tie, do you not get it? I personally think UT was better than Tech, but Tech BEAT UT, you can't just dismiss them. No, it isn't fair to Texas, but it wouldn't have been fair to Tech if UT went either. You can't please everyone.
We'll never know how UT would've fared against Florida, so it's easy to say Texas would win just because they both beat OU. Besides, UT had a (slim) chance at a split w/ a strong performance, and they barely beat OSU, so you get no sympathy from me.
