@bellayness It's definitely easier making them bigger, and they sound better that way too, as that guy above so charmingly touches on.. But yes, there's quite a few tutorials on youtube which I found useful as a guide, so maybe have a look around. Two things though: 1 I use another (real) ukulele as a template to measure the fret spacings. 2 to get a curve on the head, cut a diagonal line through the head area so it tappers at the end, then glue the off-cut on underneath. Good luck!

Thanks for all the interest.. If I get a chance I'll do a tutorial on how to make one of these - it's not so hard. I don't really have time to make them to sell, and I'd have to charge tons to make it viable - so for now I just like making them for friends and the very, very occasional charming youtube commenter..

@TheCGIMaster tricky to explain, but basically it's screwed through to another little bit of wood inside the tin. It's all kept taught by being braced against the body of the tin.. It's not so hard to do, but is hard to explalin!
