Nice fish, I caught a 30 lbs Striper on the Sacramento River back in the day, which was a once in a life time catch. Most of the time we caught Stripers about the same size or smaller shown in the video.
You might as well have kept that fish, because she was as good as dead when you put her back. A five minute fight in the summer time will kill most stripers, especially when they're out of the water that long.
I was fishing in a freshwater lake, over the main channel, which was 110 feet deep. The fish I hooked was on the bottom so that's why it took so long to retreive. I use nothing but lures and have had great success this year with this technique. I'm about to start posting videos which will show what and how I'm doing since I get so many inquiries and questions. Nothing like nailing big Striped Bass (or any big fish) on light tackle and lures! Slayer
