Actually Chrome is a great browser.I have been a Firefox user over 2 years,but now I use both FF and Chrome.Its faster than FF,and the new beta has the option to start using extensions,like add blocker etc.

what i dont like about iE8 is that the close tab is only in one place, when you want to close a certain tab you need to open this tab 1st and close it from there unlike G.C... and iE8 also has a lot of complicated BARS on top, G.C has only 3 layers, the tab bar, the address bar, and the bookmark bar...

well, i had a very fast athlon with firefox.

i bought a slow but energy efficient ms wind nettop, a 1600, 2 giga and 120. It is slow anyhow. i am very happy with it. much better than the fast athlon. I want comfort not speed. i had crome on my new toy hated it, installed ie8 and i am very happy.

I tried with a fast pc and firefox always many translating machines like babelfish, leo, translatica pol etc. they spit out a mess one does not understand. i had them in my favs. timeconsuming.

now with a right click the thing has the best translator, understandable, fast atomaticcal in many laguages. much faster than the other method. thank you microsoft!

Take YT, we are international. 255 nations in the world. I have worldwide friends/subs, I only speak German, English and French. Me and my friends we translate via IE8 Spanish, Italian, Portugese, Polish... live search bing translator is better, much better than babelfish.

I do not think the international youtubers will switch to Chrom, final version. If this is final, forget it.

chrome doesn`t offer features, 3 layers is not enough for me. you want it fast, just for english. for me it is slow, because i use the features that you do not like, i would have to store these pages and call them up separately and that costs me more time than opening one tab again to close it.

you want a sports car for one purpose, i want a comfortable ride, i want to feel fresh after hours of surfing.

that's your defenition for "Best Browser" but there are people that do want toolbars custom themes dicitionaries compatiblity with almost everything and a safe webeowser with a good download manager a good section of favorites and instant RSS not mention the compatiblity with linux and the very organized history and the option to restore closed tabs (6 last closed tabs) the possibility of changing the order of the buttons or add more the possibility of changing the code because it's open-source.

Hey the same thing happened to me. I found out that i could have to do with "dns prefecting"

Go into options then "under the hood" and turn "dns prefecting off" it worked for me :)

You can apply Custom themes through a series of hacks and file tweaks. Unfortuantly Google Chrome doesn't come with themes out of the box.

By the way, I just realized Chrome 2.0 takes advantage of the mouse 3 button! I'm so excited! That was one reason I didn't use it as primary browser before. Chrome has been my main browser for actually surfing the net for info since its release. you just cannot beat the speed .

It is a great resource for students looking to do research. I still use Firefox for all the great add-ons and stuff but chrome has earned a spot in my heart for sheer speed.

last time i checked the 64 bit version for windows 7 was still in beta phase. I guess i will have to check again. XD
