You're probably in college now if this way made in 09, and your first singles... but work on your footwork a bit, you're strokes are good but because your feet are misplaced you don't hit balls that cleanly.

@medina18233 No not him hes only a Jr this year but has won the 1st singles 5A title his Fr. and So. year and It looks like will win it again this year hes raked like 15 in the US in his age group and there number 2 is like 30th in his, But the high School Brighton has won 5 in a row and they had all 7 varsity players come back this year so they will win 6 this year.

actually, I think the classic 'serve n volley' is becoming less effective as you play higher level tennis, because the ball just comes back so fast and people are getting better at hitting down the line and cross court, that it doesn't work nearly as well as it used.

@TheBig1dea My school is a lot better, and here I thought my high school sucked. I'm serious, there are way stronger schools in missouri than my school yet the varsity is so much stronger than this at my school. Though there are a ton of "I played tennis since 5"

and there are people like me. I have 2 private lessons, 2 group lessons publicly, and 1 at like company tennis place.

I know it's a lot but I absolutely love tennis. The groups are led by coaching pros and stuff.

These kids aren't bad at all. Everyone is a pro writing comments though . . . Listen to the wind. Anyone who plays tennis knows that wind substantially drops the level of play. Very hard to have good rallies in windy conditions.

@pofulover You think they're good for high school level players? They can't even sustain more than a 2-3 hit rally. They're decent but not super. The top players in my 2A conference (North Carolina) make these guys look like beginners. These two players must be from the weaker schools. If Tennessee (It said TN in the video description?) high school tennis players are only this good then that's a shame.

@jyy82993 It's not about the 2-3 hit rally that's going on, there's a lot of other factors to it such as difference in skill levels and wind; you can have a 20-hit rally with two beginners who don't know how to hit with variation of spins. Just by the strokes and forms you can tell how good they are. And of course, you're comparing the top players in your state conference to a sectional match in Tennessee. They're decent for high school tennis players, not amazing, but pretty good.

For high school level, I think these kids are good. The kid in blue shirt. He could be so much better if he just worked on a few things. He needs to learn classic serve n volleyer strategy.  Dont be caught in "No mans land." Split step before opponent returns. And needs to bend the knees more when hitting forehand for more control. Hes got a killer two handed backhand and a whopper of a serve. Great potential.

His swing pattern is that way because he's going for top spin. He's hitting hitting the ball high or into the net because of his posture, position, and timing. It's not his swing. When the ball goes to the net he's usually hitting too late and when he hits high he swung too early.
