  • Hi, Ross! two years ago when I was new at lampworking, your videos helped me very much and I'm still at it, and I'm learning, but I still learn a lot from your videos! They're great!!

  • It would really enhance the lesson if you show the completed bead at the start. Then we can see the stages and effects produced. You have a WONDERFUL patient presentation. Very helpful.

  • Ross, I have watched your videos over and over. Why haven't you done any new ones lately?

  • I'm working on it. I will be making more soon.

  • Excellent great hobby !

Is the cost of gas very expensive and where can you purchase the supplies to get started in the hobby?

  • It is the Oxygen that gets expensive. The torches run on Propane and pure tanked Oxygen.

For supplies google: Frantz Art Glass, Generations Glass, Colored Sands Glass and ABR Imagery, just to name a few. It is a great hobby.

  • you know, there is a special kind of oxygen pump that i use when i make beads at school, Its kinda expensive but it eventually evens out and starts saving money because it gets oxygen from the air.

  • Fantasic videos!!!

    Clear and well explained!

    Keep them coming Ross!!!

    Sam.

  • Thank you Ross for such instructive videos. You are an inspiration! I love your tie dye bead method and I am about to go and try this one.

Looking forward to more from you!

  • Ross I love all of your videos! I've watched them all several times! I would love to know: if you twist your twisted stringers with both hands or just one side and how can I make a set of beads all one size?

    Thank you so much!!!

  • thanks so much for sharing all your knowledge!!!

  • Awesome video as usual.. Keep up the wonderful work.

  • Thanks for the demo, it is just making all the difference !!

  • great bead ross, and excellent video!

Maybe a tutorial on making twisties and using them and/or stringers would be good next.

  • Something different than the stringer demo in the Tie-Dyed Bead video?

  • I'd like to see how to apply twisty without getting it all globbed up in some spots and too thin/skinny in other spots :)

  • i can't believe i never thought to make stringers like that... so freaking easy and my hands are going to like holding those alot better. Thanks

  • What else would you like to see? Suggest something... Go ahead..

  • well... let's see. I have been playing alot with swirls using stringers and raking methods... the swirls seem to com out alright. Whenever i rake i grab to much and distort the bead. Maybe a tutorial on simple ways to play with the surface pattern. Thanks.

  • i would like a demo on how to make twistie cane

  • Check out the "Tie-Dye Bead" and the "Rave-Up bead Pt1". I make twisted stringers two different ways in those videos. Is that what you have in mind?

  • yes that is exactly what i was looking for. also i would like to see what the comment sbove mine suggests, about ways to play with surface pattern. also maybe some tutorials on how to do different kinds of encasements. thanks

  • great
