Knowing nintendo on releasing f-zero games they really only release one per console but non on the actual wii so i think gx is as good as it's gonna get for now. I'll be fucking pissed if gx was the last one. It actually had a story line and was extremely great.
I admit that although I'd be happy with any new F-Zero, I would prefer to see a PC release, either on its own or as a part of a multi-system release. There's a lot more that can be implemented in a PC version, like advanced custom track creation (see Trackmania United Forever and Trackmania 2 for an example), better custom machines, and even custom drivers (pilots?). The graphics could also be bumped up to Gran Turismo levels, and online multiplayer would be seamless.
@stopthatman1996 True, but with how the PC gaming market is getting a resurgence despite the actions of major companies like EA, I wouldn't put Nintendo too far away from a PC release of some of their more obscure titles to try and enter a new market - they tend to go where the money is.
Heck, SEGA's already releasing their main games on the PC. I don't think Nintendo would let their former rival take a portion of a major market without getting involved themselves.
@stopthatman1996 They wouldn't need to. As awesome as it is, F-Zero isn't a main franchise.
Also, F-Zero is mainly a competitive gaming franchise. As a highly precision based racing game, it doesn't exactly fit the demographic for the Wii-U, so Nintendo would actually risk taking a loss on it if they made it a dedicated release. If they do release a new version of F-Zero, a Multi-Platform release would be in their best interest, while it normally isn't for their main games.
they had a form of "vehicle creation" in GX, so why not add a "driver creation"? Also, a track editor at least like the ones seen in the GBA games would be nice, as would a full returning cast.
The number one feature I would like to see in an F-Zero game for the Wii U would have to be online play. Who wouldn't love to go online with 29 other people and bump some heads?
Also, if they were to bring back Story Mode from GX, they should make some of the tracks used specifically for Story Mode (like Chapters 3, 7, 8, and 9 from GX for example) unlockable in time attack and other modes as well upon completion of the story.
The possibility for downloadable tracks is always there too.

@PheonyxImperius The bad part is that F-Zero is a first party Nintendo series

@PheonyxImperius It may occure, but why would they try to divert attenion from their two dedicated consoles?

And, of course, online.
