  • My favourite! In whole wide world...

  • Love it!! I'm just starting out and it is very well explained. Is there a name that goes along with the tune you were playing around the 4:30 min mark? Very cool and I want to learn that..:)

  • @dferg1204 Hello there! Lell here... just to say that the tune Till plays at 4.30 is just made up on the spot using the four chords and the techniques she shows in this lesson and our others on YouTube. The point is that you don't need to learn it... once you learn the chords and rhythmic techniques, you can sit down and make it all up to your heart's content! :oD x

  • Brilliantly simple! Dialogue between you two girls makes it feel less like your average piano lesson. Tension free and fun to play. Very, very easy to follow. And hadn't noticed that chord connection before. Big thanks to you both for a brilliantly instructive and helpful vid. Go girls! :)

  • @SetantaCovenant You're very welcome, SC :oD x

  • hello. You seems to be a very good player so i think ure the right person to ask: i just started to learn piano and i learn form the internet. So what shoud i try and learn first ? Scales, chords, ? there are many diferent types of lessons on youtube and i dont know for wich of them to go first.Hope you can help me.Greatings, Alex

  • @grrgrralex Alex, this is Lell here, not Till the teacher... but based upon what I've learned so far, I'd say go with learning chords first :oD

  • @pianochanno ok, i alredy play guitar so i know some theory, so i can play manjor and minor chords, and a few 7th chords. So what next? Scales? I have many problems at using both hands, Shoud i worryabout that later?

  • really think you need to take ur friend out of your videos...so annoyed!

  • @Missdayna11 Hope you've calmed down now, Miss Dayna. Where would the teacher be without her pupil, though, that is the question? ;oP

  • That was very well explained. I've just started learning the piano and I didn't know you can change chords faster using inverted chords! Thanks again! :)

  • awesome accent lol

  • sounds like Let it Be if you play each chord for 2 bars :) *subscribes* keep it up! xx

  • wow! this is so great! well, explained and works for me as a newbie! Thanks for this. :D

  • thanks girls.....dinna listen to the muppets...the two o ye make a great team

  • Thank u so much...... love it...

  • sounds great but tell your friend to shut up. no need for a second person

  • @hangnailjohnny *Lell, hurt to the very fibre of her being, develops a trembly bottom lip and goes and stands in a corner. Requires Patrick Swayze to come and get her out of the corner.* LOL!

  • @pianochanno plz go to ur point without saying extra voring owrds

  • @hangnailjohnnythat wasnt nice, if you do not like move on.

  • I'm Still Learning How To Play The Piano And So Far I Know The Chords C,G,F, &F major chord . How I'm Learning To Play The Piano Is By Reading This Book, &Inside It Has A Little Sample Of Songs , And In The Song I Have To Use C&G Chord . If I Use Your Technique Will The Song Still Sound The Same ? P.S. If I Play Any Song Using The Technique Will It Still Sound The Same ? ..Oh Yeah Your Idea Was Really Smart , I Can't Believe I Didn't Think Of That :D

    Thank You !!!!!

  • @Catleya5 Hi Catleya, it will sound the same but different, if you know what I mean! Hmmm. I'm not very good at explanations... that's why I'm not the teacher and Till is. LOL! I told her about your question today and she'll be along in a bit to give you a better answer, I'm sure! Lell x

  • @pianochanno ahahaa ok :D

  • Hi Soulshine! Thanks for your comments. You're absolutely right... you're just finding the best inversions so your fingers can just bob to the neighbouring notes if at all possible. To break up the boredom of just plonking down straight chords, you can use the rocking/seesaw motion and arpeggiation that Till shows in some of our other Groovy Newbie lessons. Check 'em out and if you've got any burning questions for Till, drop us a line and I'll get an answer for you! Lell :oD x

  • I am a beginner self teaching, I need to learn how to gracefully transition between chords and this helps me alot. I hate that I am just playing a chord , then a chord, but I seen you are like bouncing your hands as to not just make one straight sound but several in a row, then finding the inversions..am I right?Your hands are so relaxed I can barley see the notes you are playing.
