it was cold. most hamster babies are all in a nest curled up around each other for warmth. Think of baby birds and you've got a similar idea. however, a fun game, is to hold your hand near them and watch them go for it. they automatically go for the nearest warmest heated source.

No, I don't think you can do that because hamsters cannot drink cow milk, it's not good for them. You don't want to end up killing the poor guys!

If they are less than ten days old, your best chance is to give them to an adoptive mommy, preferably who already had a litter 1 or 2 days ago: put your babies in with the mother's litter and let them mix into the smell of the litter. (You have to distract momma-ham first, and get her away form the litter.) If older than 10 days, they just need a little extra care ;) AND DO NOT FEED THEM MILK THAT HUMANS DRINK, I heard it's very bad for them. I mean, you don't see hamsters drinking cow milk...
