  • Nice ride man. So full exhaust, cai, throttle body, and a tune? I have a similar setup on my 05 gt, and it's a blast to drive but still goin turbo. Should have some more mods in a few months on it. Check out my videos and keep it up.

    And good work on the car by the way----good sounds ---I've been borderline on either the V-6 or the old muscle car feel of the V-8.

    But since I would like mine to be a daily driver the six seems more sensible and plenty powerful.

    Plus there's going to be plenty of power upgrades for the new 6 in the near future.

  • Is your speed and rev limiter off? My upgrades aren't much better than your and my acceleration is still a lot higher than yours at 80+ it seems like your computer limiter is kicking in or something. You should still have much more pick-up than that. Nice sound!

  • hey , bro , i have a 08 pony pkg , stock , how much did all this cost u with labor? and when u tune will it void the warranty ? and i did 115 mph on mine but limiter kicked in so is there a way to take the limiter out ? Also with all the mods will the internals and transmission hold it ? Great car u got there though !!

  • not much a friend hook me up and lobor nothing i did everything myself i have a tune i've taking my car to my dealership for oil change and look at few things and they haven't told me anything so i don't know might be my luck or something. yes 115 will top out but with the tune pretty much you can get it off internals stock can hold up to 450 as far as i know tranny will hold but might want to rebuild it or upgrade for a 8.8 since you'll have all that power

  • yes tuning a car will void the warranty. its removing the stock programming from the PCM. that voids the warranty. some people get the stock programming put back on if they have the tools to do it them self before they go to the dealer.

  • @surajjohn29 you can flash the car to kill the limiter but get a aftermarket driveshaft cause the stock 2pce one doesnt hole past 130, and change to an 8.8 with higher gear ratios and a t-loc, the peg leg burnouts are boring haha

  • i have a guy in my friends list that has a turbo set up for his stang and his pushing over 400 rwhp i'm not sure if he has stock internals but his turbo is a custom build for this mustang its an HPP racing turbo kit but i don't know how much that rang him i mean his car is a beast man

  • no i haven't change them yet i'm in the progress of doing that. 115 is in 4th at 4600 rpm and have til 6k to shift to 5th now with the tune i'll have til 7k to shift isn't that great.

  • with the latest ones i don't know but i ran a 14.5 with intake,wires,coil pack,70mm throttle body,headers,exhaust no tune stock rear end street tires

  • It took him about 5 and a half seconds to get to 60, that's not some super duper acceleration. You're the only one that's a joke, with the 70 MM throttle body, and headers, he's putting down close to 250 crank horsepower. If I were you, I wouldn't even brag about your brother's supercharged car, superchargers are an engine parasite, take power to make power, unlike a turbo.

  • Getting pretty quick now. It's come a long way. Your 0-100 time was about 15.5 seconds which is the same as my 1982 5.0 LX. I have an Edelbrock carb and intake manifold, shorty headers, 2.25" duals with no cats, and pulleys. Plus my car only weighs 2900 lbs. It has a 4 speed trans tho. It's like a 5 speed except go straight from second to fourth :( but I'm doing mid 14s @ 94 with 2.3 60 ft times and i've raced 3 2005+ Mustang GTs now and stayed with or stayed ahead of all 3!

  • yeah i ran a high 14's when i went to the strip and only had intake spacer wires and coil pack i'll see this year how it goes before putting my mods in

  • High 14s is what the new GTs do stock, at least from what I see at the dragstrip I go to. My car doesn't hook AT ALL with regular all-season tires. It ran 13.65 @ 99 mph with a pair of MT ET Streets that I borrowed from a friend. You would definitely pick up some time from slicks too. Not as much as me because the new Mustangs don't have nearly as big of a problem with traction as the foxes, but you'd get at least a few tenths.

  • Bullsh*t. The people you are racing must not be very good at driving the newer car is capable of mid to low 13s stock. Hell my 00GT ran 13.9@100.17 bone stock and that is no where near the fastest stock time of the New Edge cars.

    Good times for your V6 bud but once you hit the 13s you will start to be able to run with the V8s. Nothing wrong with that either as you have a lower platform to start at.

  • hey Spader, a 0-60 of just 5.5 seems way fast for just air intake and throttle body spacer... I have the same car with intake, tune, exhaust, and my best so far is 6.3... is the throttle body really making THAT much of a difference or are you hitting it with a 50 shot or something?

  • no i don't have any spray on my car yet on my recent vid i hit 5.2 - 5.4. my mods are

    intake, 70mm throttle body, high perfomance wires, screaming demon coil pack,under drive crank pulley,custom true duals exhaust with gt muffler take offs and i'm running on 93octane no tune.

  • u got straight pipes, thats why it sounds so harsh. dude, if you want duals, go with dual powerflo slp mufflers. that should get rid of the rasp. if not throw some cats on that. u may lose a little performance, but not much, and you won't get headaches from that raspiness.
