I loved this book. If you're not already aware he now has a tv show on the sci fi network called sci fi science based on this book. Some of its stuff from the book other stuff is new. Each episode basically takes an idea space colonization, light sabers, alien attack, etc... and explores how he would go about achieving this technology. If you liked the book you'd probably like the show as well.
Nice review. Not sure what your athiest question was about. He means God of Einstien as in God doesn't exist, it's just a romantic way to describe what are quite beautiful mechanical processes. You could say the multiverse instead of god. Same thing.
Very welcome. I've read this and Hyperspace. Both are really great books, and similar in the style of the books. I liked Physics of the Impossible a little bit more because it covered a bigger group of categories, and seemed to fly by reading it. Youll enjoy both no doubt though.
Some who study things like this are John Hutchison & Tom Bearden among many others. In fact here is a 'link' to a discussion with John Bedini, Tom Bearden, Robert Beck, Steve Werth on free energy and scalar waves.
That's right, Michio Kaku is not religious at all. When he is refering to god, he's refering to the god of order in the Universe. How so many small formulas discovered in the past and no doubt in the future in physics end up making our Universe so fluid and simple. I think that works for me too.

agreed. I like him a lot, especially his way of being able to explain normally complex things, in a very easy way to comprehend
