I thought the album flowed together quite nicely especially the first half but ya and the deluxe version does have two songs like " the glory" and " illest motherfucker alive" I thought were worth the extra two dollars or so

I take wat i said back.its an ok album but after listening to it again and more awake lol.. its sounds kinda dull and less like a regular album.so my rating would be a solid 5

I agree with your overview for the most part. I think the beats were ok FOR A MIXTAPE like you said. I believe they used too many samples, not enough lyricism, not enough strong topics for an album that people expected to be an explosive masterpiece. On a good note, there were some bangers on it and a decent amount of their raw talent. I think Beyonce and that Lift Off song could retire the album...overall rating... 7/10

I give the album about an 7.5 which for something including Kanye (favorite rapper) is pretty low. I think this album did more to shed the light on the fact that Kanye is now a better rapper then jay-z rather then how good they both can be. Don't get me wrong I think jay-z had some nice verses on several tracks, but it seems as if he was rapping like he thought he was great rather then show us.

Okay......I agree with you partly......the album as a body of work does kinda seem all over the place......BUT......I also think that each individual song is pretty strong.....strong enough that I'll say this is the best album Jay-Z has been involved with since The Black Album......seriously......I was expecting another Best Of Both Worlds type disaster, but It sounds like this might be the rap album of the year.....unless J. Cole got something better

@MlSSRuBy J.Cole in my opinion is next in line to be a great, so Im just expecting great things from him......im really just expecting greatness because his mixtapes have been better than most rappers albums.....also I think his song "Killers" is the best song I've heard this year so far
