Barnum and Bailey, just do performing acts WITHOUT animals! The people alone is good enough. I went to one of the shows as a kid in 1996 (I was 5 then) and it just made me want to cry seeing how TERRIFIED that poor tiger was. He looked like he was having an anxiety attack!

Hey does anyone here own a dog? If so, do you leash them when you go for walks? I have never seen a "Cage" for an elephant and I have been backstage, during, beore, and after shows. The elephants are taken care of well, they are washed daily, they do get treats. Why not go to the show and see them yourself? If they were in such poor shape, they would be shut down in an instant, thats what the USDA is for, to stop people if they arent taking care of animals.

This is not the only video. They have videos of the people from ringling beating elephants before going on stage. They are not doctored in any way. They can't be.
To me, putting elephants on stage to entertain people is torture enough. Elephants are not here to wear beads and have some guy on their back. There is no dispute that this treatment is not natural. In the wild elephants do not stand on one leg for a clapping audience. They also are never caged and don't sway back and forth.
Going on stage is like play for them. Thats how they are selected to performed based on how they play. If an elephant likes to lift a tire in the air and spin in a circle it is worked into a routine and practiced. They learn it at a young age. If they didn't like to do it they wouldn't do it. They are not caged ever and they are only chained in the train because they can't possibly understand that if they move it will cause a weight shift and derailment of the train.

They have very thin skin there and are very painful when jabbed. Just like kids brought up in circus life. Normal things like going to school are not normal to them. Yeah, I donate money to feed elephants...that was my "proof" that I actually care for them. You're the one judging and making ridiculous statements.
As for the one in danger, that's what I'd care not to talk about.
I'm trying to help something. Feed them and give them a safe home...I wish I had more to give. and eventually I want all the captive elephants in zoos and circuses to have homes at similar santuaries. But I guess it's easier to just say "the sound was enhanced" and go on.

They have very thin skin there and are very painful when jabbed.
