I am just finishing "Cullota" now. I live in Vegas and I am glad actual addresses were used. Now when I cruise up and down Sahara, I ponder what went down about 30 years back.
Great read and I look forward to picking up Battle.
I also look forward to going on the Vegas Mob Tour ASAP!
Read Denny's books if you get a chance - both the factual and fictional books. If you have an interest in the Mob you will love them all. The Battle for Las Vegas: The Law vs The Mob and Cullotta are both must-reads. Cullotta is out on DVD too now - highly recommended!
I'm going to try and find it next week. Wish there were books on how the skim was carried out, how Steve Wynn dealt with the mob, why the FBI didn't turn Vegas upside down in '69, how Spilatro was able to be active for so many years, etc.. Nowadays, even a mouse can be found guilty in Vegas.
I just finished reading the battle for Las Vegas and found it to be very informative and very detailed. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this factual, well-written book and highly recommend it.
Excellent video Dennis! The interview was a great segway from "Battle" to "CULLOTTA". I've only read "CULLOTTA" and I would highly recommend it to anyone I know. I was totally captivated by Frank's story and to see Frank in this interview was a great treat after reading the book.
Good teaser for two great books. Straight forward, amazing story that is not glorified. Explaining how it all started and how it all ended by the people who were really there.
Awesome video! I looooved the books too! Very informative about the city I live in and a real easy read. But still page turners. :) I'm looking forward to reading Griffin's other books.
