Got some far left brain people in here that require step by step instructions, haha, use your right brains and imagine. Anyway, thanks for the vid, i am building a foundation for a canvas wall tent, the components and construction of this deck has helped me out. Cheers!
u should never space any wood deck boards(except IPPY WOOD AKA BRAZILIAN WALNUT it wont shrink ) because u will have a gap that is larger than what you want because they will shrink when the sun hits them install them tight against each other then over time u will have the proper spacing
You're obviously skilled at building, but what I was looking for was a series of videos showing precise steps, even if it takes several videos to watch. Your videos are basically speeding through with good video effects and no detailed instruction from beginning to finish.
You don't explain the steps or methods, so why is this a "how to" video? If you want to make a decent instructional video, try actually explaining the steps over a period of several videos instead of one 7 minute video of movements by Speedy Gonzalez.
Thank you for your comment. The actual video is very long and it would take several small videos to show the whole story. I plan on including notations soon. This should help. In the meantime, if you have any questions I would be happy to share my expertise.
@thepinesdeck i have a question...i want to build a deck (ground level) have a lot of boulders sticking out of area to be decked, they are lower than the deck level...can i use the boulders as support for the deck joists??
@migo53333 I would not recommend using any natural stone as a support. If the rock is like an iceberg and very solid then go ahead. You have more control if you use your own supports placed on solid footings. Check your local code.
man what a tough job. i give you guys who can do this lots of credit. to me its like rocket science.
