MAN! When you kick in that Evil Robot it is absolutely fat and everything about the tonemaster thats awesome with some extra low end! Amazing I would love one and so would my credit card company, I just bought a handwired plexi 1987 but I want one of these to go with my Ampeg Gemini 1 really really bad! The Ampeg is brilliant and I am pretty sure phil records with one also but that is another great amp and sounds so good slightly overdriven, really both of them do, the ampeg is a little cleaner.

It really sings - you can literally hear every note on the Tonemonster. Class A power rules, the tubes are hot and ready "Little Caesars style" for every note you hit, thus the awesome response time and crisp tracking Phil's getting here.

I'm gonna have one of these eventually.

Yeah to be honest the monster sounds better, I've always adored the sound of the toneMASTER, and I was a little hesitant when they said the toneMONSTER would sound just as good, but after hearing the A/B in songs like Communication Breakdown and stuff, I think it's safe to say the MONSTER is a bit better.

I like the Tonemaster a lot but hearing it compared directly to the Tonemonster, I think I prefer the remake by quite a bit! It makes the Tonemaster sound a little thin/anemic. Maybe it's just the different speaker but I definitely like how much fuller/thicker/whatever else it sounds. It also sort of sounds like the Tonemonster has more gain, given equal settings - is that true, or no?
