  • haha the farm at the end of the road is my grandparents house!!!!

  • Watching these come in and take off at Yokota always give me a boner!

  • That's pretty cool, and that's interesting because I was in St.Croix on Vactation and went to the airport and out of no where a C-17 is on final and just lands it was cool because it was random lol

  • Un despegue fantástico

  • Oh boy that thing must be in a tight schedule...

  • Wow! I think it lifted off at under 60 mph!

  • i saw one of these today and it was labeled CC-117.

  • @Bavarianspirit01 if you saw a Canadian C-17, it is correctly designated CC-177. the CC-117 was a Dassault Falcon used in the late 60s through to 80's for VIP transport.

  • that is the most longest takeoff i have ever seen O_O

  • what radar does it carry on board?

  • Mann there is some fuckin limit!

  • that is freakin insane

  • I'm so glad that these have been added to our Air Force. It's about time we got some heavy cargo aircraft.

  • actually we already haved the c-5 many years before the c-17.

  • Technicallt that is a CC-177, but nice video regardless.

  • Actually, being American it is in fact a C-17 Globemaster III. Only the CF designates them as C-177.

  • I know what the aircraft is, and, technically, it is a CC-177 since it is owned by the CF.

  • Your sure this one is Canadian?? I can tell you it's not. Pause it at about :10 seconds. See that yellow line on the tail. That's your first sign. We don't have those. I'm pretty sure that one is from Charleston Air Force Base. Just above that line that sure looks like an American flag.

  • I believe you are correct that it is American. I suppose that we are both right then...... I posted before looking closely at the tail.

  • I only know because I've worked with the US C-17's a fair bit. LOL. It's all good though.

  • @ndvfdff33 Yes, This is an American C-17. it says US Air force on the front of the fuselage. Canadian C-17s have print in a light gray. Americans use black print.

  • @JFDhate I know what our C-17's look like. I work with them fairly often.

  • Sorry it's March AFB in California.

  • It's nice being empty. Still very impressive.

  • Now that is some friggin power

  • holy shit i was expecting 25 sec at least not 12

  • the clip started with the plane virtually still

by 12 seconds the thing was in the air

    o m g

  • I wanna see it do that with a Abrams in the back LMAO......that it is awesome though

  • wow that was a quick liftoff

  • Hungary just got 3 of these, The first one is to be delivered shortly.

  • where is ur info from

  • we could still use the lease agreements if needed

  • uffff check the wake turbulence when is climbing!!! Amazing!!

  • man i remember seeing the dude filming it.. this plane pretty much stole the show other then the snowbirds of course :P

  • ok maybey it isnt a football feild long but there is a plane that is

  • Largest plane in the world is the An-225, which is just under 85 meters nose-to-tail.

    1) You cant fit a football field in that

    2) Its a Russian civilian transport aircraft

  • The AN-225 and An-124 were both the primary choice of Canadian Forces before Harper has selected the C-17 for the next strategic airlift

  • You mean longest, at 84 meters. The biggest wingspan in the world is the Hughes H-4 Spruce Goose with a wingspan of 97.5m.

  • i was there

  • yea my uncle got to ride in one and the base its self is a football field long and u could fit a football field in it yea its that big

  • Amazing that fat thing can get off the ground, not as fancy as how those fighter jets do it but still a feat in its own right.

  • that must have a LOT of power for a cargo jet!

  • It has a whine... sorta :-|

  • that is one sick take off , must be no cargo and lite fuel load

  • its able to take off with fully load of 30000LBS and full fuel. This plane is perection off all time

  • A pilot at Edwards airfoce base open house told me that the take off roll is equivalent to a Cessna 182 fully loaded

  • I WAS AT THAT AIRSHOW!!!That was a dang good airshow!!!

  • sweet I was there too!!! awesome airshow, definitely worth the sunburn that I got that day. the c-17 demo was especially cool.

  • I got a BAD sunburn too. my friends call me crazy, but yah it was worth it!

  • Wow, that thing was climbing at a _crawl_...

    Hehe love it.

  • Im not a pilot, yet...But to do this you apply full brake's and apply full throttle for short take off's....This is very cool concidering it's such a large air plane...

  • Well it's got a really good wing and flap design to go along with the power. That's where it gets such great STOL performance.

  • i was there it was funny about when the harvor had to keep up with an f-18

  • wtf it was in St. Thomas? Dammit I wish I had known. And wow, that was a short take off

  • nothing like HORSEPOWER

  • Sweet I was also there. honestly a really good show better then the CNE if they hadn't had the F-22 this year

  • I went to this event, it was awesome, to bad they couldnt land the KC-135

  • Getting these heavy lift planes has been long overdue.

  • I was there on the Sunday, great show!

  • Yo I was at that show this year and filmed some too it was crazy.

  • Canada's First C-17 debuts in 4 weeks

  • That C-17 Globemaster III is crazy
