I love my Celtics team not less than you love yours. I also love the genuinely friendly atmosphere that can be found at any game of any sport at USA. And I cherish this thing more than anything. I know what to do with my energy. I don't need to sing any chants to support my team. I will scream when it's needed whether at the stadium or at home sitting on my couch. But I will never be a violent redneck zombie. You can't see past those chants and your fan friends. Try once, it's rewarding.
@sidekickkid89 he didn't say toronto is in latin america you nincompoop! he was questioning the beer that was thrown at them. Learn to read comments completely before you comment.
@kustomkure lol are you retarded? The NBA atmosphere is gay as hell, all you do is yell defense or offense and sometimes they will put this stupid "everybody clap your hands" thing on. If you want real atmosphere at a basketball game you should do something more like this: watch?v=cuJOs6n8AOk
@Gocavs1990 Another narrow-minded idiot with a lot of energy he doesn't know what to do with. I will choose this "boring" defense-defense audience over those stupid baboons unstoppably shouting their stupid chants. Only for one reason. The atmosphere in the NBA is NON fucking VIOLENT. People come with families to see the fucking game itself, not to crack a skull of their opponent team's fan. You can be in a Boston jersey and sit between 100 LA fans and no one will tell you anything.
@kustomkure Ultras live for their club, it's passion, it's love. The team loves us, we support them a 100% and we have great atmosphere. Guys give up free time to organize tifo's, it's all for the club. It's mostly positive support and energy but it's considered disrespectful to show up in the stadium of your opponent wearing a jersey of your team. You shouldn't even want to do that. It's ridiculous. The difference is that ultras live for the club and in the US sport is just like seeing a movie.
hahaha. canadians aren't really known for their boorish and childish behavior. come on toronto, you're better than this. must have been an english immigrant :D
i am from Toronto, i try to support all of Torontos teams, Leafs,Argos,Jays,Raptors, Marlies.but jeez, i draw the line at TFC, MLS is total bush league, basically unwatchable
That beer toss was pretty week, I was hoping that the cup would make contact with his face and or upper body, but he only gets a few drops on him. Slightly lame.
Crawling talent wise, I was talking about the fan atmosphere, the passion, chants, traditions and derbies. The things that make being a fan fun.
Fans, flags, drums, marching bands, support groups, ultras. These are all things that MLS teams are slowly developing ever since their games started being well attended. Seattle has the Soundwave, the first marching band in football (soccer) and Chicago has a fervent Ultra group while Toronto is, as in the video, representing almost all of Canada.
@lordofwrath88 slowly.. i mean most MLS teams are playing in what it looks like high school stadiums.. but hopefully one day fans will go to a home game 75K at a time.
Still though it was a stupid thing to do - I thought Toronto was supposedly a "World Class" city - some of us act more like it's a "Third World" city!!
