Yes the earth is not a greenhouse. It resembles a greenhouse in no way.
The earth rotates, has trade winds (as a result), has a floor of mostly water of varying deptths, ice on both poles, rotates around a sun that determines the climate, and last but not least, is a broiling orb which spews heat into the oceans with underwater volcanoes.
Do you know of a greenhouse that resembles this planet?
Well if you smoke enough dope and flunked grade school, I can understand you saying "yes".
Yes I do have a PhD in climatology. Sorry I lied, there is no science called climatology, and mogra, where did you get the intelligence to question anyone on climate?

scientists are being paid to manipulate their information. julia fucking gillard is putting a price on carbon emissions because she thinks it will lower emissions. all this is gonna do is increase food, petrol and living costs because factories are gonna pass t
@randomgal1322 Scientists don't manipulate evidence for one. And just because there is an isolated cold weather event somewhere is not valid disproof. Climate Change doesn't cause weather patterns to cease. Last year, the Global average temperature showed an increase. And also one of the effects of climate change is extreme weather events, and extreme cold is classified as such. You have no understanding of how the climate works. Stop talking.
@AthenasConquest you don't have to go completley green. You just have to actually give a fuck and make a few changes in your lifestyle. Otherwise, you could be looking at the potential extinction of our race if say the warming process goes out of control and shuts down the Great Ocean Conveyer
@AthenasConquest you don't have to believe Al Gore. Believe science. Science is objective. Neither liberal or conservative. So don't worry, nobody's gonna call you a liberal if you actually care about the environment.
@rickariche not true at all. Climates shift, thats a fact but since the Industrial Revolution temperatures have risen at an unprecedented rate. So yes, it is.
Global warming is easy as 123. Consider the greenhouse gasses being emitted daily (CO2, CO, NOx, SOx, Methane, etc) and compared it with those being absorbed by plants around us. The excess of course will go up into the atmosphere, which in effect due to its volume causes now global warming. It therefore need another kind of gas to treat or crack it. Has someone discovered this kind of gas? I could see that this is far better than siphoning those CO2 as mentioned by the UN climate change chief.

Per the latest NOAA/NCDC U.S. temperature data records, the 12-month period ending March 2011 was the 6th coldest March-ending period for the last 15 years. In terms of a single month, March 2011 was 79th coldest March in the past 117 years.

A Danish, American and British research team has reported that a key glacier in Greenland is melting faster than previously expected. The researchers found that Greenland’s longest-observed glacier, Mittivakkat Glacier, made two consecutive record losses in mass observations for 2010 and 2011.

Scientists have shown how an enzyme from a microbe can produce hydrogen from water more quickly and cheaply. Hydrogen is seen as vital to future energy systems, but a major problem has been making this reaction fast and cheap enough to be viable.

How can it be global warming when i'm fucking freezing in mid august... with temp of 50. raining like shit, sometimes hail, while in the winter middle of January it's 65 degrees....
I remember when i was a kid, summers were summers, and winters....well you couldn't do shit...for exactly 3 months...now we had snow even in March....
It's climate change...not warming...

Just checked on Pat42, he was born about 1987. He missed the 70s, the 60s, the 50s, the 40s.
Now consider the economic benefits of increasing energy use.
A hundred years ago the auto was replacing the horse. Electricity was lighting houses and in time lead to air conditioning, electric heat, and other benefits.
This was increasing energy use. Made the average family live like the royalty of the previous century.
Time left from manual labor lead to scientific advances, this is bad indeed.

There are no climate change sceptics.
The climate has always changed.
And it always will change, naturally.
Why?
Because the climate has changed for so long that it's gotten good at it.
Whenever you hear someone natter about climate change sceptics, you can be sure you're dealing with a nutso alarmist who is either stupid or on the gravy train.

The Arctic is suffering another loss of open water as the global cooling seems certain to herald another ice age.
Of course, you've heard that scientists estimate by carbon tracking that there was open water north of Greenland 5000 years ago.
The Norwegian scientists estimate that the Arctic had less than half the ice that it enjoys today.
Upon further questioning, the scientists mentioned casually that the Arctic holds very little ice on this globe, most is in Antactica and growing.

Some scientists don't seem to understand that thermometers and the data is open to manipulation by evil Gore scientists riding the gravy train.
What happened to all the stations in the mountains? Well there weren't that many to start with, they mostly reside next to pavement and airports where the link is by short cables.
I've noticed a 40 degree difference between my thermometer in the field and the thermometer a hundred feet away next to my house.
What a temp. gradient, tell Al right now.

To the simple city bound uneducated masses, from the great north: there are way too many polar bears and we will cull the useless rodents until their numbers are less than 5000. They are to the north like alligators are to the south.
I personally shoot one or two a week, when I can get a bead on them.
30-06 for long range, 12 gauge for in close. Come on up you hunters, lots more for where those few came from. Like shooting buffalo in the old days. Bears make great rugs. Unlimited suppy.

Be sure to mention that the Arctic ice, notice two c in Arctic, has been mostly less than today. In other words, there is more ice in the Arctic than normal.
Should the Arctic ice melt by half, that would still be more than normal.

Even if you are an alarmist idiot, the science says that CO2 is not pollution, CO2 is in an deficit state, ideal CO2 is about 3000 ppm or more. Still not even one third of one percent, basically fuck all.
Consider the health impact of more CO2. Think of the greening of the world, CO2 is the basis of all the greenery on this planet.
Don't let the alarmists equate carbon monoxide or sulphur dioxide, with CO2.
Those alarmists refer to CO2 as carbon. CO2 is mostly oxygen. C02 IS OXYGEN

randomgal1322 6 months ago
@randomgal1322 Scientists don't manipulate evidence for one. And just because there is an isolated cold weather event somewhere is not valid disproof. Climate Change doesn't cause weather patterns to cease. Last year, the Global average temperature showed an increase. And also one of the effects of climate change is extreme weather events, and extreme cold is classified as such. You have no understanding of how the climate works. Stop talking.
