Yes, this is the proper way to dubstep remix a song! Keep the original song (basically) in the background at all times, and then add dubstep themes to it, not play the song, do some dubstep, and then get back to the song, that's not how it works. This work is pure genious.

I loved the original Viridian Forest music. Most people thought that Lavander Town's music was creepy as hell, and I agree, but this one was super creepy, too, I think. When I played my FireRed a few months ago, I noticed that the pairing of the music and the shadowy walkway, plus the occasional Pokemon cry, made me feel like I did not want to be in that forest for a second longer than I had to. But, it's just my opinion.
