F150s are true work horses, And what I saw in this video doesn't even come close to this trucks full potential. It can do way more. 315hp isnt much but 365lbs of twist should get the job done easy. Torque is what matters in a work truck and this is a true work truck. Other brands are getting more carlike but Ford is sticking to their roots. I'd be proud to own a truck built by Americas most independent car company.

Of course your Ram outruns an F-150. Nobody, not even Ford, would deny this. Your truck is really great in a straight line and it's marketed that way. F-150s are workhorses and your badboy Hemi in all its sound and fury would never out-tow or out-haul an F-150. So it's fast. Whoopy. This not the true measure of a truck and if you think it is, by all means, keep your Ram. I'll take the truck leader, the F-150.

You should watch that video where both the 09 Ram crew cab 5.7 raced a 09 F150 crew cab 5.4 up a 6% grade pulling 3k lbs...they started at 45 mph and punched it..the ford beat it pretty bad. They proved a point of low end tq and proper transmission gearing is key. Ford's PCM tune is very conservitive..dyno tune it and you get 40 more tq..slap a cam in there and get another 40 tq.. I did that (with other goodies) and I keep up with supercharged trucks. mine is an 05 with a 4 speed btw haha

I have about 95k miles. Doing about 45 mph it does 23 mpg..at 60 it's about 15-18 mpg. Though, if i floor it and the RPM is at 6K..it burns 27.5 Gal/h. haha! that's bad! But that's how it makes power! Houston city driving sucks..about 7mpg. Mainly bc of that 3000 stall. What size are your tires? I have 20" racing wheels with 30" street performance tires. Mine is a supercab 2wd.

I live in a hilly area and sometimes wish for 4x4 but have no desire to re-mortgage my house in order to drive a gas-guzzling behemoth. Travel light.....go farther...pay less.  A big truck would also struggle to get round some of the tight hillside bends round here anyway. When they start making small economical 4x4s with good luggage space, I'll reconsider.
