Don't count on 50 dollars from Sony. First off - expect a good 15% cut of whatever Sony would pay in a lawsuit to go to the lawyer. Another 10-20% to the costs of the lawsuit itself. Then whatever will be left would have to be divided over a good 75+ million people.. For 50 bucks a person you'd have to sue sony for a good 4.5 - 5 billion, which would be the end of the Playstation...

PSN got hacked becuase they didn't bother to update their apache server and didn't even bother to turn on the firewall on several of their servers.

Also just to set the record straight xbox the console has never been hacked. They have been modded to defeat copyright but it has not been hacked like PS3 has. The kinect got hacked but MS welcomed it. I really doubt microsoft doesn't update their servers. To hack them you'd need zero day hack but eh that's probably not that hard.

But Sony needs their act together and invest some serious money and some serious people to making sony anti hackable. This is just unacceptable. Sony says there is nothing they can do about it.
