This is my take: have you seen the original movie? It's a classic! One of the very best Malay movies ever made (at that time Malaysia does not exist yet). One of the very few movies where I didn't mind backing music suddenly playing when the characters started singing. The dialogue shown above are the best scenes in the movie. The actress who played the old lady was truly magnificent.

The best part in the video above is the 2nd take of the first line, where the man-who-pretends-to-be-a-woman fluffed his line. And the guy who played P Ramlee's Malay is not so authentic. They're not speaking Indonesian - they are speaking the Malay language as it's commonly spoken in Malay movies made in the 50s and 60s. They don't do that anymore - they tried in the movie Jimi Asmara tho.
