even still, what fun is it to play ANY song exactly how it's supossed to be played? Me personaly I like to switch it up a bit. Yea it's cool to learn a new song, but after playing it and playing it and playing it, it gets a little boring after a while right? Who wouldn't? Its correct to play lead lines differantly or change the pattern, but playing the wrong notes is just wrong and makes it sound crap.

just note that the chorus begins on 6th string

at least thats what it looks like he's playing in the video

so instead of 5th/str-2nd/fr start with 6th/srt-7th/fr and modify the rest accordingly
